The flue for your natural gas water heater * control for your attic exhaust fan! In my search for a heat activated switch needed for my project, I stumbled onto this one
4/5

Among the pros are *New low price of $7. *Updated low price of $7. Ships free from Amazon with orders of $99 or more! An excellent product at a very reasonable price. + People generally seem to like it. The sensor rating is

If you have any questions, please contact me. When temperature switch is closed (turned on), it is approximately 120°F and when it is opened (turned off) it is approximately 90°F (+/-) The tolerance for temperature is 5°F. +Listen to the ad Two and a half inches in diameter A measurement of 1 inch by 1 inch 3/4" to 3" The width of the picture is inches. +Listen to the ad A warranty of one year is provided. There are a few cons as well I note *br It may pose a shock hazard with 120 VAC line voltage due to the exposed wiring terminals. There are still a few areas on the terminal that are exposed despite shrink tubing covering it. I note *br This product does not come with documentation or wiring! During this order, only a thermostat sensor mounted on a magnetic bracket will be available. I note *br In order for heat to transfer, it has to move. To get to the sensor, you must go through the metal mounting. I removed the sensor, applied computer heat sink compound to the sensor button, and reinstalled it in my computer Installed screws into the mounting bracket to reattach it. In so doing, heat is transferred to the sensor earlier and thus enhances operational speed! My second attached photo can be seen here. In this case, begin by using flat head screws and finish by using a nail or two Using countersinks on the bracket will ensure that the bracket will mount flush to I didn't need to do this for I note *br It is unknown where the author is from. I'm going to say this product is made in China. For those who prefer to buy products made in the USA, I'll point out this is made in China. The problem is Here are a few things this device did for you There are four exhaust fans installed in the attic storage area to keep the garage and attic cool During the summer, storage areas in the attic are kept cool. A total of 840 CFM of air flow from 4 fans! Each fan is rated at 210 CFM. When the 4" natural gas water heater flue is filled with that much exhaust, outside air is drawn down the Cold air is pushed through the chimney by vent pipe. There is no use for this. Upon starting up the natural gas water heater, the B-element is lit on full, the burner on full, and the burner starts to heat Since the vent pipe chimney is cold, there is no flue gas drawn up by the B-pipe A vent chimney pipe. The natural draw up a B-pipe It isn't until the B-phase that a vent pipe appears By heating the lining of a chimney vent pipe, hot flue gases conduct heat. While the attic storage area fans are operating, outside cold air is drawn down the B- if the space is heated The garage can be fitted with a vent pipe chimney. By doing so, the hot flue gases are prevented from going up the B-pipe Use an air vent pipe chimney to heat the pipe so that it draws naturally. By going straight up, instead of up the B Vent pipe chimney, the hot flue gases flow into the garage, which is extremely dangerous! A solution consists of the following This is a straightforward problem with a simple solution. Find where air containing hot flue gases is being sucked into the garage & You should turn off the exhaust fans in your attic! A theory of operation can be stated as follows By being drawn past the Thermal sensor by the hot flue gases released by the natural gas heater, the Sensor is heated. You can find the third and fourth paragraphs of the guide here Please refer to the attached pictures so that you understand how the thermostat sensor is positioned on the exhaust hood of the natural gas water heater. Once the sensor reaches approximately 120°F, it appears to operate, which in turn operates a 12 VDC relay, which reduces the exhaust fans in the attic storage area. Please note a few things about As far as the exhaust fans for the attic storage area are concerned, they are controlled through The attic storage area fans are turned off when the relay operates, as it has a normally closed contact. Relays are on, even if the switch is not switched, if the vacuum in the attic area is off. In that case, of course, they would be watching. A sensor switch on the attic temperature sensor turns the light on or, if *A continuation of the theory of operation the temperature of the thermostat sensor drops below 90°F, the thermostat sensor will turn When this happens, the attic storage area fans will again be switched on by the 12 VDC relay circuit.

Once the gas water heater is installed, the water heater will function as follows It is hot in the vent chimney pipe, the pull is powerful enough that the gas will continue even with the attic area storage exhaust fans running. In this review, the focus is on the thermostat sensor switch, so it does not show the exhaust fan side, where the 12 VDC relay and capacitor are located Here is where the power supply is. For those of you interested, I have done customer reviews on the 12 VDC relay, the project boxes, and the switch It was even the magnets I used on the project box to attach it to the water heater that I had problems with. Finally, I would like to mention the following * After putting in an order, this switch has been working perfectly so far! My next step will be to consider upgrading the product rating if it works as it does now.

The price is decent and the delivery time is There are no electrical specs listed on the seller's page for this switch, so I only gave it 4 stars. A low voltage switch may only be made for low voltage applications or it can also be made for line voltage applications. A difference exists between the two. In addition, ratings for DC are different from those for AC. As far as everything else goes, this is a good deal and the delivery was quick. The only way to prevent people who don't know the facts from answering is to stop asking them. According to the guy who said the voltage did not make a difference, he gave inaccurate information that could be harmful. In the future, I hope the vendor will include the electrical specs for this unit. A recent update The device I own is one of these. Using it with a heat recuperation device on the exhaust hose of my gas heater, it helps to reduce exhaust fumes. All of these are sold by various vendors, including this one, but none of them provide the most crucial information about these switches! These are the specifications or ratings of an electrical system. On the thermostatic switch itself, I found the following It was disassembled, and the following information was printed on it There is a 125 VAC 10A rating on this wire, so, it is rated for line voltage (in the US and Canada). A resistive load will be used to draw up to 10 amps in Japan, not Europe. But most people will use it with a fan or blower, whom we can think of as The maximum safe power for a fan should be 600 watts, which is probably about ten times more than most people ever need. This is a great product! For your information You have a magnetic bracket acting as a heating element if you notice the LAG when it first turns on The hysteresis (lag) is amplified when the sink is large. The magnet works far better and I did not have to drill out the rivets when I mounted mine (without the bracket and magnet) closely against the vent pipe. The cable ties I used had a melting point of 428 NM In order to run the cable around the vent and through the space between the electrical tabs, we heated it up to 509 degrees F. I never get close to melting, so it works well. Using metal would be appropriate, but make sure that the contact points do not short out.

The idea is nice

It can easily be installed in a place where you can't drill for mounting due to its magnetic base. However, the rivet heads that hold the snap switch to the metal plate prevent much heat from convecting to the snap switch due to an air gap that surrounds the rivet heads. If that happens, you might help it by putting some thermal compound on it. As it turned out, I removed the switches from the magnetic plate anyway, as the surface on which they were going to be mounted was A thermal epoxy glue was used to fix them down. When I tested both of mine with a heat gun and thermocouple, they indeed closed at 120 F and opened at 90 F. Those are two 120V fans that they are controlling.

You should beware of buying from someone with a bad reputation
3/5

Do not believe that you will receive all the parts needed to assemble and install your own thermostat, blower and on/off switch when you purchase them as home improvement kits. If you don't have an existing blower in your fireplace, don't buy any of them or one of them. As you won't be able to salvage existing parts, and therefore waste your money on this project, you won't be able to self-install it. The parts you order will most likely work on your fireplace if you already have a blower installed, but they will NOT work if you do not yet have a blower installed. Do not under estimate that necessity. Parts that did not come with the items (usually bought together) didn't come with connecting wires or a plug in, nor did they come with any instructions about the part. I are not an expert, but I was not expecting to buy scrap metal when I.

The switch used on a Heat-Screen is a great replacement for the original 120° to 95° switch The part you need is not the exact manufacturer's replacement part number it will work with any generic label
5/5

*Replaced a switch on a heat pump A Glo Facebook - This was a 2007 model of the Grand direct-vent heater and it worked perfectly. The instructions include removing the surround and putting it back together. It takes less than five minutes. * Second Local Heat - According to Glo distributors, I would pay from $85 to $110 I was going to charge $95 for a replacement switch (plus $75 for In my research, I found that the most competitive price online for the exact same part Magnetically strong and can be moved in any direction on the underside of the firebox, or even to either.
