Questions & Answers

Can you please clarify the differences between the model GFK 160A and the model GFK 160. Do you know if this motor will work on the Heat N Glo ST42TVFL motor?

Do you have any questions? During the installation of mine into avermont casting, I had to do a good bit of rewiring Engineering is fitting and working beautifully, and it now has a ball bearing motor over a sleeve As it is a rectangular motor winding, I had to rotate the blower housings on the main frame to provide clearance for the motor winding to be in the correct location.

My heat n glow 6000tr oak stove burns for over six hours every night. Since I don't own 4 I can't learn it. The construction of this component will require a clearance of 5 inches, even if the bottom flap is removed. Is my business really that big that 4 is necessary? How about 5"?

If you limit it to 4, that'll be fine. By removing the rubber feet before slipping the blower through the front opening, you can make the blower fit 25" through the It is possible to refinish the rubber feet once they are inside I've attached it. When you have fewer than four, you should contact us. In case you need to back up the blower kit 25", you can use the GFK4. Please accept my sincere regards,

The firelogs we bought in 1991 are still in good condition. Our blower for the logs is a 1240m/hw40m model, and we are trying to find a blower for this model. Do you have any information that would be helpful to me?

You may be able to use this method if you have an enclosed fire box with fresh air intake on the bottom and a location for the fan below the box. A fan was added to my 2017 model when it was designed for adding one. The bottom cavity is connected to the back cavity by an air flow path. The air then exits through the top cavity. There is no doubt that the blower increases the room's heat. I am not sure how this will work with gas logs.

What is the best blower that I can buy for a heat n glo model SL-UL-P ?

This is true, the SL-- GFK is used on all models of the 7 series Thousands of words! Please accept my sincere regards,

I love this product, it was easy to install, it's made in the USA, and it works great! This fan is great for the Heat &amp Air system in my house There is a GLO fireplace with a ball bearing motor, and it is made like a champ
5/5

Our great room is heated by it, and we do not need to keep our thermostat in a constant state of on and off while the fireplace blows hot air. I liked the cozy feeling. This is a simple installation that is easy to use. A few things to consider the best place for the magnetic thermostat to be mounted is under the firebed rather than on the firebox wall as shown in the instructions. I verified this with the highly knowledgeable folks at fireplaceblowersonline. com. Those who have mentioned this may want to make sure that they plug the auxiliary cable into an auxiliary outlet in their Heat & Air units I meant to say the one marked fireplace, not the one marked fan, which is a low voltage outlet for a different type of A thermostat turns on the fan when the temperature descends below 90 degrees, and it turns off when it reaches 120 Even after you turn off your fireplace, it will continue to blow heat into the room for some time. In order to install the control switch, I had to drill a hole in the lower right corner of the fireplace box (see photo). A dial on the control controls the fan speed in the inverse direction. It slowly slows down the fan speed from the off position, which is at the 7 o'clock position, as you move the dial clockwise. I find the 12 o'clock position is a good compromise between noise and heat production (all fans make some noise). When you run the speed higher, the louder the noise from the fan. If you hear any rattling noises, check under and above the firebox for any loose or unsecured parts of your Heat & A/C unit. It may be the Glo fireplace that is causing the problem. It is also worth noting that the GFK and GFK plus do not differ Both the 160 and 160A are available from GFK. The long and the short of it is that it is a very good product made in the good old United States.

out of three times are The hearth and chimney were prewired, but I attached my own information There is a junction box for the electrical supply in the house
5/5

left it running for an hour, but the fan did not come In my test, there was no power flowing to the fan from the outlet. Using a piece of wire, I separated the heat sensor from the fan control and plugged it in For another hour, I tested it again, and the fan did not The situation made me somewhat unhappy, but I have not given

I'm not sure what was in step 3, but I found it on the net the next day. The sensor and the fan control were reconnected to their original connections after I installed a jumper. The jumper needs to be placed on the junction box near the fan control/heat sensor. There's something to be said for three times It was running regardless of how much I heard it. I looked inside and saw the fan By turning the fan control off, back on, and setting it to the highest setting, I was able to stabilize the machine. Everything is working fine, temperature has gone up to 4 Within 15 minutes, the temperature rose 5 degrees. I have a gas fireplace now that works the way it's supposed to. It is heating my house effectively. The best part is that I didn't blow anything up because I got it to work ** Br** GFK** I would like to see a demo with several wire connections in the 160a videos! This is still a very good product for me.

Installing this product was crazy easy
5/5

The quality of the product makes the quality of the results possible. Let me say a few words. As a single mom, I am mechanically challenged in most ways. The installation itself was the easiest I've experienced in quite some time. I had my father come over to help me with what I was convinced would be a nightmare. We watched the YouTube video provided by the company itself and began thinking, there's no way this will be this easy. I was honestly surprised at how easy it was. It's a simple process of sliding it in, putting the magnet sensor on the belly of the firebox, plugging it in, and you're A hole had to be drilled into the cover so that we could easily access the dial, but even that Quiet! There was no noise at all! In truth, the room was warm within just a few minutes after they began pumping air. of all, when we turned off the fireplace, there was still hot air flowing for over 25 minutes without flame, so no natural gas was wasted! *This was the best purchase I've ever made - strong, durable, and quiet as a mouse, with fantastic packaging, 2 day shipping, company videos on YouTube, It was a pleasure dealing with you. Thanks for a quality product. This is a 5 star rating from top to bottom.

It is simple to install
5/5

Using a low volume setting ensures quiet operation. Are there any other things you need? There are very few steps in the installation process. Installing this dormant fireplace does require you to get down on the ground and climb up against the front of the fireplace and reach your hands in and around the dusty existing wires and hardware, but otherwise it is quite simple. It had already been installed with an electrical outlet hidden down inside the unit as, in many gas fireplaces, so the fan could be easily plugged Keeping the speed control on a relatively low level (which I find more than adequate to push air around the firebox and out the top front of the fireplace) makes the fan quiet. While high speeds definitely produce the sound of the fan, it ins't inaudible at lower speeds. I had only one issue with installation, namely, not all of the outlets had power. My fireplace had three outlets in the bottom, but not all of them had power. At first, I didn't realize that was the case, and so I connected the blower to the dead outlet. Once I got that sorted out, everything worked as it should have.

I like it a lot! I'm super- Installation is quick and easy
5/5

This blower is of the highest quality! The installation took less than two minutes since a pre-installed version was available The internet is down - As a result- An envelope. You just need to insert the blower, attach the magnetic heat sensor to the underside of the firebox, position the speed knob, and plug the power cable in (with an adapter if necessary). Upon reaching 120F, the fireplace's blower is shut off and the fireplace cools below 90F before it starts again. You can hear the fan at the highest speed, but you can adjust it to your preference. In spite of the fact that the product description indicated that the kit comes with velcro strips, mine did not come with those. Additionally, the housing seems to have been redesigned where these strips cannot be used, even if they are But that doesn't matter since the unit is not completely touching the back wall of my fireplace, so it won't move anyhow even though the strips are not attached.
