A mistake has been made in the labeling of this fan. In the manual, it states the first line of the manual prohibits outdoor use of these fans. The ad is false and the information is unclear.
It is all done with a pull chain. Please accept my sincere thanks

The fan is good, and I'm pleased with how it was delivered. The only thing I would have changed was my purchase if I had known it was manufactured in China. According to the manufacturer, it was manufactured in Minnesota by "Norther Tools". The American Manufacturers have made their products in China for too long. Next time I'll be more careful and I won't order anything made in China from Amazon.
I like the actual fan a lot. There is a great deal of air pushed through it. While there are some differences between each speed, there are not many. Even in our heat in south Louisiana, the lowest level works fine for us. In addition, it seems well built and would last for some time. However, its mounting system could use some work. The bracket should be attached to the center of the wall using 2 bolts. The anchors are made of cheap plastic and there is no information about how large to drill the holes Mount in brick with metal anchors if you want to avoid cracking the brick. This 1/2" sleeve anchor feels much more secure than the previous 1/2" one. Furthermore, it would be nice if there was a plate that could be mounted to the brick, and from there you could attach the fan. With this, you would be able to adjust the fan on the plate so that it could be pointed anywhere. After placing a thick washer on the bolt, I attached the fan bracket and secured it with the washer and nut included with the kit. As a result, I can now turn the fan in any direction I like.
The only use of my air conditioner is cooling. I live in the desert. It's likely that you'll need a different mounting angle if you'll be using it to circulate warm air in the winter. Directly above the workspace, I mounted the fan at a high angle angled downward. When applying it to a 112-degree surface, it does make a difference Day with a high of 60 degrees. When set to the highest setting, the fan is somewhat loud but not unbearably so. All of its parts are included. The packaging is excellent. Here we are at the installation stage. The sidewalls are 12' high, so I wanted to mount the fan high on the wall. If you want your adjustment to be to the left, you must adjust the bracket in a "U" shape. If you decide to mount the bracket vertically, be sure to mount it To keep up with what's happening, click here The bracket should be mounted horizontally after the down adjustment. Therefore, the fan was mounted horizontally in order for it to blow downward. In my experience, a fan assembly is quite difficult to hold correctly in place while you pull in the lag screw fastener while you are working from an 8 foot step ladder. As a result, it was decided that it would be necessary to remove the fan assembly from the bracket, and then reattach it after the bracket was If you remove the fan from the bracket, the fasteners on the bracket to the fan will not be held While seated at the top of a step ladder, it was impossible to attach the five pieces of fastener per side. To be able to climb the ladder, I had to disassemble the fan unit, remove the grill from the front, and replace the carriage bolts with longer ones. Too many parts are present in the unit used to bracket fasteners. Installing this meant taking far more time than I had anticipated. I am an experienced builder with pro tools, yet I still had trouble figuring out There needs to be a redesign of them. As soon as I installed the fan, it worked perfectly in the shop and served our needs perfectly.
The breeze can be placed diagonally across a 12 x 24 foot stall by using this method. The vent was installed in a corner of the stall, with fresh air coming from the eaves. After they are permanently closed in, I will need 2 more for the other stalls.
With the pull chain, it is easy to change speeds. My shop was using a stupid box fan for years and I needed a better solution. The fan brackets on this 20" fan match the ceiling joists perfectly. Mount a piece of 2x4 to the 2x4 and mount the fan. A big lag bolt and a small lag bolt are included for mounting the fan. There is a good volume of air being blown by the fan. At the lowest speed setting, the job gets done nicely without causing too much noise. Most of the air moves quickly at the highest setting, but I don't think I'll want to use it By the way, it's controlled by a pull chain. The only thing it pulls is The power supply has three amps, in case it matters.
I do a great deal of research before I buy anything because I want to make sure that I buy quality products. Thus, I asked for a fan for my garage being that it is so HOT down here in southern Texas. When I found this one I read the reviews and compared to other fans' opinions, so I decided to purchase it. Considering how well built it appears to be and how much air it moves, I am very happy with this product. The hardware in the package was used to mount this to my ceiling. It was a little hard to spin, so I added a couple flat washers to give it some space. I am able to keep my garage cooler now due to the fan. You won't regret it. Go ahead and buy.
Despite the fact that it moves a significant amount of air at a reasonable noise level (74db from 4 feet away) this is a great addition to any room. As others have said, the speed doesn't seem to vary very much among low, medium and high, but I like to keep it on high always. In order to make installation easier, it would be helpful if the ceiling fan could be taken off the bracket, installed on the bracket and then installed on the fan. I only had to hang it once, so I did not find it a huge hassle. Other than the pull chain not staying centered if you pull it, I found nothing else wrong. As a general rule, it hangs behind the standoff at the back of the fan in order to prevent it from touching the fan's shroud at the back. The pull chain adds a little noise when this happens. A cheap fix for this is to wrap a black cable tie around the standoff and catch the pull chain The fan is also attached to an Amazon Express Outlet that is linked to my home automation system so that all I have to do is ask Alexa to turn it on. You cannot beat this fan once you get it installed.
