I disagree, no, and no again! This dehumidifier looks nice! The idea that you couldn't use a common hose for the continuous drain was absolutely unacceptable to us. With the unit, it is provided with a thin plastic tube that cuts down on draining time. There's not nearly enough time for any good to come of it. It is impossible to connect a garden hose to the faucet. The unit does not have a standard garden hose fitting. The flimsy short plastic tube that comes with the unit is the only tube you can use. In spite of multiple attempts at making it work, none of our efforts were successful. This is the only reason why I would not buy this dehumidifier again. That's a really bad design!
In order to prevent the refrigerant from flowing into a pipe during transportation, the product should not be used for 24 hours after receiving. This allows the refrigerant to flow back into the compressor, so that it does not flow into the pipeline.
Dust particles are collected by an easily removable filter screen on the back of the unit. You can wash it off in the sink if it gets dirty and then put it back in
There was no damage to mine, and I don't think it's Shipping must have resulted in the damage. To return the item, I suggest that you contact the store that you bought it from. It will be taken care of as soon as possible. The unit is very effective, so I'm sure if it wasn't damaged you would be very pleased with it.

My small garage is permanently damp so this 40 pint is used there. In my garage, I have this unit draining out through a very long hose into a tiny condensate pump, and then I am dumping it outside. It took me 10 minutes to add the freebie Pump for condensate standing on the ground. In our garage, we are keeping the overall humidity level at about 45% while it only runs for about 2 hours every 16 hours. * I also use the larger 70 qt in our The other major brands we've used are much louder and never maintain a low humidity of Comparatively speaking, the Waykar 70-pint is very quiet in comparison to other machines such as Frigidaire, Honeywell, In our case, the humidity level was just above 71% when the Waykar was plugged in. By the following morning, the bucket was almost full with 35% remaining. When I dumped the bucket in the sink, I left the temperature at 35% and our finished basement looked just like a If the fan is turned to the lowest setting, the machine is so quiet we can watch TV or interact with others without The cube design allows the air to be dispersed more evenly and thus, is quiter due to more even air distribution. Heat never seems to be present in the air. There is a slight chill in the air and it is There is no doubt that our furniture is much more comfortable than before. In a pinch, I can install a second condensate pump and a drain hose to enable me to leave the unit running without having to worry In total, the unit runs for about 4 hours a day, with the humidity set at 45%. There is no need for more than a slight touch on a touchscreen. Touching it with a finger causes it to heat up. I have owned 12 dehumidifiers in 40 years and I can assure you this is the best of the bunch. My favorite features include The solution to your quiet, effective, as well as quiet problems. Specifically, it consumes 350 watts of power, so even if it's only running a few hours a day, it'll add about $3 to your bill. You will have to add $00 to your electric bill every month. You can almost get it for When buying the 70 pint for rooms larger than 1,200 square feet or 40 pints for rooms smaller than 1,200 square feet, consider the ratio of 7040. We have a 3,150-foot basement (big ranch) and the Waykar seems to grip everything perfectly.
Daily frezzing has been going on for a while now. The problem is that I have had this for only four months and it freezes all the time. It is a waste of money. When I contacted the company, I received the run around every day, telling me that "if I were to give them 5 stars, then I would get $100 back". I'm not going to lie on a public forum for $100 or anything! I WOULD AVOID THIS PRODUCT OR BRAND - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
There is a large, about 1100 square foot basement in my house. Besides fluffy carpets and clothes in the closet, I also have plush furniture. As you can see, there is quite a bit of In this picture you can see a unit (pictured) designed for a smaller area doing the job but also being unable to keep humidity below 60 without freezing. As long as I have the condensation pump hooked up to it, this unit does a good job of removing and keeping moisture During the first week, it worked very hard, sucking up all the moisture from carpeting This computer runs so slowly now that it barely runs at all.
With the fast speed mode, the noise level is terrific and the sound is more like white noise for sleep, so it works for me. With the slow speed mode, it is very quiet. Due to the fact that I only use it during very humid days, I have only had to dump the water once. In addition, As such, I should have to do this once a week in the summer or when it gets more humid. In addition to being convenient to use, this dehumidifier also works quickly. On a smooth floor, the wheels on the bottom roll easily. A dehumidifier like this would be a good purchase. In a nutshell In a nutshell.
Purchasing this unit for our main living space was a wise decision. A dehumidifier in that style is definitely a departure from the traditional kind. We own a Frigidaire, which is quite loud (like a room air purifier) and bulky. This one is quite small and very quiet. We are all astonished at what a small unit can do when it is so powerful.
Originally, we intended to return this product because the receptacle to catch the water is small and seems like it will be of lesser quality materials, but after seeing all of the pluses listed, we decided to keep it. The brand I purchased recently stated that it was energy star and rated #1 for dehumidifiers. I purchased it because I wanted a quieter unit to not disturb TV watching. The quality of the water collected in that unit was less than expected, although it was larger than expected, too. This may be the newer trend in construction. This compact beauty is a race horse and as quiet as a mouse, all at the same time.
This was an excellent customer service experience, so I am raising it back to a 5 star rating. A brief update. Four months after it was purchased, this dehumidifier stopped working. There is no freezing of the coils, and no air is drawn from the room as a result of the fan running. Customer service is currently working on this issue, so I will update the rating back to more than 1 star once it's Our humidifier was purchased about a month ago and has maintained a humidity level of draws about a gallon of water each day, and the electric bill did not show any differences.
Due to the mention of a competitor, my previous comment was deleted. How you can tell whether the machine does what it claims to do, which is to remove the water from the air. When this unit had a 70% humidity house, it took 5 days to produce 70 pints of water. Usually, I have to empty my other unit four or five times a Afterward, I returned this unit and purchased a 50-pint (from the same company that I had originally purchased it from) that also needs to be emptied four to five times every I highly recommend these if you have no idea what dehumidifiers are all about. Invest in something that has a name and.
