It's not hard to contract Legionnaire's Disease or mold illness from a design flaw. given a 1 star review, so this is quite serious, and I don't realize how serious this is. As a rule, I never use the hose attachment. Only the tank is used. In the beginning I was very satisfied with this machine. The tank water was clear and as it was supposed to A strange thing happened with the tank. It began discoloring with sediment and a green/brown film. I finally worked out that these were bacteria growing in standing water by My lucky escape was to unscrew and remove the cap on the outlet of the hose. Otherwise, I would not have discovered it. As I removed the cap, a brisk stream of nasty water poured out with chunks of brown and green growth. The inside of the hose attachment pipe was covered in The water that came out of the machine was even more tainted as I tilted its backwards! Standing water pools continuously behind the hose attachment when the tank is empty and/or removed, as it flows into the tank below the level where it gets drained. The coils made it easy for me to see the area by flashlight. There is a dirty petrie dish that is built-in due to bad design, and it is hard to get to this to actually clean You're putting the Legionnaires disease recipe to the test! For your own health's sake, make sure that you check this if you own and use this tank. In addition to this, I have owned dehumidifiers made by Whirlpool and Hair and have never experienced this type of problem.
Lots of good features, a few not so great ones. Some big pros come with this humidifier, but some big cons as well. The pros are This machine runs fairly quietly, it's easy to take out and empty the water pan [and has a handle to help with that], the cord is a decent length, and the filter is easy to take out On the bottom are wheels, and the electronic push button controls allow you to set the humidity level and run continuous or turbo. It's nice to be able to automatically shut off when full, and I like that you can attach a hose so you can automatically dump it Whenever I had issues, their customer service was fantastic, I was able to speak to a real person and I was able to replace the defective one immediately. The cons are There is no auto defrost and it does not work very well. There is no frost, so it should come on by itself. The few times that I have seen it happen, there is no frost and it is not too As a result, I have removed my filter many times to find the back covered in white frost, but the autodefrost was not set. It's up to you to make sure it's safe in that regard - If it is not dead hot, you will have to check it every day to make sure that it does not burn out from frost. As far as I can tell, the plastic part that screws on the hose is attached to the machine and cannot A small piece of my machine broke off, and they had to replace the whole machine instead of just a few parts. That was really stupid, considering the machine was still working.
In a nutshell There appears to be no problem with this nine gallon dehumidifier. An excellent instruction manual came with it, so I was able to fully understand all the features. When it is on, I was surprised by how quiet it is. The dehumidifier I had before is not the same as this one. (As you can hear in the video) I've only used a drainage hose with the bucket, but there is a port on the back that can be used with a bucket. Since this product did not come with a hose (which is why I gave it a 4 star rating), I have not yet been able to test its water purifying properties. Moisture is definitely being pulled out of the air by it My favorite thing about writing reviews is finding out what makes them great.
