The high setting runs for approximately eight hours before it runs out of gas. I love the mist that comes out of it. The method works nicely in medium sized rooms (no larger than 250 square feet, The tank portion of the machine is easy to clean. My only issue with this humidifier is that it is not very effective. In order to clean the mist tunnel and spout, there is no easy solution. With my flashlight, I looked into the tunnel and saw pink mold in the tippy top of the tube, right where the nozzle is located. Trying to get a bottle brush into the crevices was almost impossible, especially since there was an opening at the top that we tried to seal so some bleach water could soak it out. In the instructions, there is no mention of how to remove the cap, and there is no explicit mention of how to In fact, I asked on Amazon's question section how to clean it, but I did not receive any responses from all the people who bought this product. No one else seems to know how to clean it either.

Despite its small size, this humidifier has been used in my upstairs kitchen and living area pretty consistently since I bought it over a year ago. The fact that I have since bought a few more, cheaper humidifiers has really made me appreciate this one. As far as I've purchased humidifiers in the $25 to $50 range, this one has a lot more heavy duty construction than any other I've purchased A price range of $30 to $40. This is the style where you refill from the bottom, which means you need to remove the tank from the base, flip it over, and unscrew the cap. I had them for about a year each. But after a while, pink mold starts growing inside, and this stunted thing grows. Thank you for your understanding. Having to clean a mess can be a PITA! If you want to clean it with vinegar and water, sure. What about Not a thing. There is this tiny brush you are supposed to clean with, which hardly makes a difference. In the last few weeks, both my son and I have been coughing a lot. During an appointment with the doctor, I asked about the humidifier and was advised to throw it away. You can become infected with mold if you breathe it in. This is a waste of money, so it's not worth it. It looks great in a room, but not at the cost of your health! There needs to be an easier way to clean Pure's products.
