Due to the excellent price and the fact that I already own a Frigidaire dehumidifier model that works very well, I bought this. The price is within reasons for keeping it, but I'm not as crazy about this model as I was with the previous model. While I do not use a hose to drain the bucket, I simply empty the bucket when it is full, which means that I have not had any leaks

Having used it for about a week now, I have seen a significant improvement in my basement humidity level. There is no more odor of wetness, and I am so glad. A hose can be hooked up to this device and it can run continuously or set to a certain level of humidity. I have tried one of the high fan speeds, but it's a little noisy, but not so much that would bother me. It is also easy to move around if needed. It has been remarked in a review that if you set it to continuous-reading you will not be able to view the humidity level any longer. As soon as I took it out of the box and plugged it in to use it, it began to leak. There was only a quarter of a bucket of water in the bucket. Water did not leak out when I filled the bucket with water. The coils may have frozen and melted, so I can only assume it was the coils. contacting Fridgeaire customer service, and once in the queue, they told me all representatives were busy and hung up on me twice. I am very happy with it. The number of reviews on this product didn't seem that high, but I decided to give it a try. After receiving it a couple of weeks ago, I have been very pleased. I've taken about a year to get it from the factory because it was factory sealed in the original packaging. Every day, 5 gallons of water is sucked out of the air.
