In our bedroom, we turn it on at night and enjoy a comfortable night's sleep. At night, I place it in the room in which I am spending time. I simply put it on a tray, and move it around as necessary. Because we are no longer having problems with humidity since using this small unit, it appears that the whole house is more humid now. Having used it continuously over a period of about 10 days, I used vinegar to disinfect it, then dried it out. As far as we could tell, there has not been any buildup at all. We might be using distilled water because that has a higher pH value. Despite the need for distilled water not being mentioned in the instruction booklet, there was a little card that came in the box advising us to do so. As well as being quiet, easy to clean and fill, the unit can be used with minimal effort. In addition, it has a lot of appeal.

I cannot live without them. These are excellent humidifiers and I bought two of them a while ago. I have another more advanced model that I bought four years ago and it is still running well. As the winter months continue, I will need cool mist humidifiers to treat my sinus problems. I have found them easy to clean and disinfect, and they don't seem to require as much maintenance as other brands I own. I clean and disinfect them with white vinegar once a week and that works for me. In most cases, these run for 12 hours on highest setting. With any humidifier, one thing to remember is to follow the manufacturer's instructions. With any type of humidifier, distilled water should be used if you see a fine white mist on your furniture when you use tap In that case, the problem would be solved. Due to my reverse osmosis water system, I am no longer affected by the white mist. The humidifier is also cleaned of scale that builds up inside.

This only holds water for about a 12-hour period and I am not even running it at its highest level. It is impossible to fault this item for being easy to clean, as no humidifier can be. The job is hard to fill, however Once it stands on its own, I use the sink sprayer to fill it. You need to center it over the sink drain to get it to stand on its own. As soon as I put the white dust filter in, I am having trouble getting the plunger to work and release water from the tank to the bottom. (Normally, I lift the tank, remove the filter, then put it back on I've since had no problems following that, but I will have to refill the tank when it runs out.

The second one of this series. The best things in life are those which work. The user interface is very easy The surface is easy There is a nice part of the top that allows you to manipulate the direction of the mist. On the downside The quality is poor. One of my products, as well as the other, had broken tanks. In the first instance, the tank suffered a crack at the bottom and began to leak. Instead of replacing the whole unit, I just bought a replacement tank directly from the manufacturer (they told me that since the unit was no longer under warranty, they couldn't replace it). In addition to that tank, it collapsed. My house had a whole brand new unit bought recently, thinking maybe I should replace everything. In the process of cleaning a tank, the tank and several pieces slipped out of my hands (it was empty). The break was my fault since I dropped it, however, I don't think it should have shattered at such an early stage.

I urge you not to order these open boxes. I have sent back 3 of them because they didn't work. It looks great but produces little to no mist. Two of the three got very hot, and heated the water so hot in the well that I burned my hands. This is a cool mist humidifier so that shouldn't be an issue. I just wanted to warn you! This is my fault for not buying them new, but I have always had good luck with open boxes.

When I purchased this crane humidifier as a replacement for my old one I assumed that it would work the same way as my previous one. The water doesn't turn off when it runs out (which happens overnight), it turns red, and it continues to run. One day, I forgot to turn it off in my son's room. Sometimes mornings can be busy and it's hard to remember to turn it on and off. I get nervous whenever I see this!.
