As it does not require any maintenance, we use it to cool about three hundred square feet of bedrooms because it is easier and less expensive than running the air conditioner during summer. Unlike many air conditioners, this one cools so well it doesn't need to operate all the time. It also has an energy saving mode allowing me to save a lot of money. I love having a remote control! I no longer need to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the volume manually. There is a noticeable difference in noise from the old unit to this one. The window had to be fitted with an extra strip of weather stripping, though this was no big deal. The air conditioner is very well built and a great value at a great price. I highly recommend this.
Despite installing it a few days ago, the product hasn't cooled off. Although it moves air very well, a $15 fan can do the same job. It is also difficult to get in touch with Whirlpool customer service for assistance with their defective product.

About half of the season it was really cool. After the winter season, it will be stored away in a cold spot and blow nothing but hot air come spring 2020. It's a very disappointing experience.

The beeping will continue while the settings change. It is useless to have a remote control. I contacted Amazon and was given a Whirlpool phone number. My number appears to be an automated one, and I need to leave it. Do it more than 12 times a year. There has been no return phone call from anyone. Whirlpool is not a brand I would buy again.
