In my tenure here, I have owned two Keystone 5000BTU ACs. I am quite proud of the first one as it lasted 8 years before failing. There's no reason not to try

The compressor of the a/c doesn't turn on and the fan only blows. The item blows hot air, I contacted the company to return it, but they have refused to accept it back. I am extremely disappointed and highly unsatisfied with the customer service. Do not purchase I received a broken, defective item. The company refused to return to the airport.
In my opinions, this is the best window air conditioner I have ever owned. I shopped around for about a week before I made a decision to buy it (KSTAW05BE). I've enjoyed owning it so far and am very pleased with it. The room I have on the top floor of the house is a medium size room. When the temperature was high in the summer, I would leave the A/C running for several hours a day (my bedroom doubles as my office) and it never failed me. For this reason it's nice to have the energy-saving feature, since it doesn't use constant energy. Furthermore, the remote is also a definite bonus as it allows me to control it from My concern when purchasing this unit was the foam insulation on the inside that other units have. I didn't know this one had that, so I was surprised at first. But after using it all summer, I can honestly say that it did not matter much. As hard as it is to believe, since the unit cranks cool air so fast, I don't think it matters too much what the material is, unless you're planning to keep the unit for a lifetime. I find it perfect for my purposes and needs. Generally I think this unit gave the best bang for the buck out of all the ones I looked at. A midgrade product was what I wanted It is not a fancy one, but I will not have to replace it During initial research about this unit, I read several reviews about random ear-ticks caused by airflow. I expected some noise, but I've read some reviews about noise from other units. A buzzing or beeping sound that is piercing. Only when you press the buttons and when you turn this unit off and on does it beep. There should be no random noises or abrupt stops (except in energy save mode, where the device, every now and then, turns off and on). I am very pleased with the I am extremely happy with my purchase. It's a 10.
There is discoloration on the control panel. The first thing I noticed was that it works, isn't too loud, it seems like a good unit, but I think it was reconditioned. Control panel appears severely discolored, as if it had been abandoned in the sun or in an area where people smoked. It would have gotten a 5 star rating if it wasn't for that. It is also unusual that the top bar was already attached when I saw it. Apart from that, all of the components appear to be new, and it works fine. My decision is to keep it since it works and I need it, but I'm a little concerned about how long it will and will not last if indeed it has been.
A good price for all the features included in this unit, and the remote is great, although the unit won't freeze you, it cools the room, and its humidity sensor works well.

I cannot see the remote because it is small and hard to see. The room has to be kept at 63 F all the time for at least some amount of "cool" air to flow. It is in my bedroom, and the door is closed to keep the few traces of chill as long as possible. WHEN I RETURNED HOME, THE TIMER WAS USED TO PRESET SO THAT IT WOULD chill for three hours, but it didn't work AT all. OUR DELIVERY TIME WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN 3 DAYS, BUT IT ARRIVED 3 WEEKS LATER, WITH A BOX THAT WAS DAMAGED AND TORN ON 2 COLLINGS. I saw that the UPS guy had just thrown it. A MONTH AGO I SPENT A LOT MORE THAN THE CURRENT PRICE LISTED IN JUNE 2020. I was ripped off by this company.
