It is a beautiful cold machine with great power
5/5

Two people will be needed to complete this task, and you must read the instructions carefully. It was worth it after about an hour and a watch of a YouTube video. The way the decor fits in with mine is great. This cooling system is not very noisy and is perfect for my 1200 sq ft home.

There is room for improvement in the installation instructions
5/5

I think this is a great device overall. There is an abundance of cold air produced by this machine. Due to the heavy weight of the air conditioner, installation is a two man job. It would be better if the instructions were more clear. On the hardware description, it states which screws are for which hardware, but on the installation instructions, it does not state this. It is difficult to tell much from the figures since they are so small. Although the product comes with support brackets to attach to the outside wall, I bought a separate brace from Ivation which has been working very well so far. About 6 feet away from me, I measured the sound. This machine was extremely quiet with its fan only operating at 42db and the compressor running at 43db. There are limits to the functioning of the remote thermostat. In order for you to control the A/C, the remote must be able to "see" it since it uses the same LED to transmit temperature information as it does for all In other words, everything is up to 20 feet away from the center and no further than 60 degrees to either side. Although it seems that using a remote sensor maintains the temperature better. My only complaint about these thing is those tiny LEDs on the side that show what mode the computer is in, the fan speed, etc. They're the tiniest For me to see what is lit up, I have to be about 6 inches away. Nonetheless, it's not a big deal since you won't have to fiddle around with it much once you set it The cooling system would be perfect for anyone looking to keep three rooms connected at a cool temperature.

I am so excited about this Moreover, it has a saving feature
5/5

About six years ago, I bought a Kenmore 15,000 BTU unit from Sears. 6 Phoenix summers have proven to be no problem for it. Two weeks ago, the compressor finally failed and I was not surprised due to the extreme conditions it had to work under. In the past, I bought a Frigidaire unit from Sears, but I didn't know they made the unit I purchased from Sears. Short story The new unit arrived yesterday afternoon, and I was going to install it with the new case this morning. My central air system failed to function yet again overnight, and this morning I woke up sweating in my living room at 89 degrees. Looking at the Frigidaire unit in comparison to my Kenmore unit, its appearance was very much the same as my old Sears unit. As a time saver (as well as from a heat point of view), I slid the new unit right into the existing case (it fitted perfectly), saving me time during setup and allowing me to cool the house immediately. It was definitely a life saver when the outside temperature soared past Even though I spent a lot more in 2013, the unit was not that much more expensive. In fact, I've closed the doors to the 3 back bedrooms, which are about 1000 sq ft in size. I wasn't cold at all in the back, but I was still I couldn't be happier now that I've been here for a few days.

"Nothing is more important than saying no
3/5

". Can you please explain why you only gave one I can't give it 0 stars because they won't let me. The window units we had in our house were from the 60s, when I grew up. Installing the unit was as simple as plugging it in, then putting it in the window. There is no way this unit can even come close. In the first couple of seconds after turning it on, I heard parts breaking. Before I get into the details, I wanted to briefly mention the real reason I returned it. By turning it off, I turned off the light. When I turned it back on, the vibration of the machine was terrible, even though nothing else had broken. Thus, we are going back to where we were. There will always be at least a small number of problems with any machine. It is what it is. However, the installation is the reason I did not consider replacing it with a new unit. In order to assemble the device, it has to be removed from its enclosure. This is simply not a rational thing to do. In addition to being dumb, you're also putting the delicate fins and copper parts at risk of getting dented or scratched. It's true that pulling it apart like that could void the warranty in the case of any other appliance. Also, the consumer would have to handle all the labor that is required of something as heavy as Having to disassemble it again and deal with shipping it back is not an easy task. Make a mental note to check the assembly instructions for the model before ordering. disassembled the unit, I found a cheap plastic fan that broke - I guess that's what I heard break, and it must have been the cause of the vibrations. The second reason for relocating is that the unit is not suitable for our needs.

Definitely one of the best units in the world
5/5

This is a true beast. We bought this system instead of our central system, and since installing it we have not had to use our central system. With this unit, my electric bill was cut in half, and it's so quiet that I can't believe it. With the manual and YouTube videos it was easy to set up correctly. The instruction manual is poorly written, but when combined with the manual and YouTube videos it was easy to set up. In addition to performing the function of a thermostat, the remote control cannot be far away from the unit, or the connection will become lost. Moreover, it should not be too close to the HVAC system or the reading will be a lot cooler than what the temperature in the room really.

There's no need to worry
3/5

This unit cools very well, but after rain the unit keeps excess water inside. It has only one drain hole directly under the compressor and doesn't do much for drainage.

This would be ideal for an 800 sf cottage
5/5

A medium size unit with a capacity of 15,000 BTU installed in the window. The slot for an extra 230v was not available Breaker in the electrical panel is rated for 20 amps. The only unit with 15000 BTUs that worked on 115V was this one This 15 amp unit is capable of cooling a 800 sq. ft. After the AC unit is in the cabinet in the window, I recommend that you have a helper at hand to assist you with sliding the unit back into the cabinet. This works great and has cooled down my 800 square foot cottage located in the Central Valley of California where summer temperatures reach 105 degrees during the day The temperature is 115°F.

It is a big beast, so if you live in an apartment building or a condo building, you might need There is a lot of bulk and weight to it
5/5

Things cool most of my condominium except for the bedroom, which is a long way from the main living area. My recommendation is to do that. The first bill that I received hasn't arrived yet, so I can't make a judgement until I receive it, but if you're looking for an air conditioning system to cool 1000 square feet, this is.
