Questions & Answers

For those who have owned this device for more than six months. What's the status of it now?

I installed the unit in March 2021 and am very pleased with it. In March and April, when the temperature dropped to around -, we used it as a heater several times. We didn't need the supplemental heater we bought because it was fine at 20F or lower. It's been fantastic at cooling the space down really quickly as the temperatures climbed into the 90s.br>br>The dry mode is very good; it really does dry the air out well, but it also cools CONSTANTLY while doing so, and the room was down in the 60s... which is great except for the electric bill. Normally, we set it to 73 degrees Fahrenheit, and it does a good job of keeping the room at that temperature, but the humidity is much higher. I was pleasantly surprised by my electric bill.br>br> Our bill was not nearly as high as I had anticipated after two months of solid, consistent use with 90s every day. So that's cool; the 22-seer rating is fantastic. I don't know how much the unit cost because it's part of a larger house, and it's difficult to know how much power it used. The WiFi signal is terrible! br>br> It has a shoddy app, a low-end, cheap interface, and no compatibility with other smart home systems. As a result, while the unit is efficient and quiet, you'll have to use the app that comes with it. Given the generally high quality of the rest of the package, this is a major disappointment. br>br>I did the installation myself, and it was fairly simple. I have everything I need to pressurize with nitrogen and vacuum it down to a safe level. If you can't do those two things, you'll need to hire someone to install it for you. Also, I installed the 220v unit; if you are unsure about electrical work, don't do it! If you're handy and mechanical, I'd say the tools, nitrogen tank, and vac pump, along with this Senville unit (12000 btu), were less than the cost of a Mr. Cool DIY unit, and now I have all the tools to do an even cheaper install next time.br>br>Overall, it appears to be a quality unit. I'll definitely keep the Senville brand in mind for future units because it's super quiet, heats and cools quickly, and looks clean and compact.

Is it possible to control WiFi from his device?

No, this system does not allow you to control it via WiFi. To use with the unit, you can buy a third-party WiFi controller that gives you WiFi control and additional functionality.

What is the approximate square footage coverage for this unit when it comes to heating and cooling?

I've installed three of these units in 550-square-foot spaces, each with better-than-average wall and ceiling insulation. OUTSTANDING show! Utility bills are EXCELLENT. br>Extremely peaceful. Installation is simple (in the case of semi-automated systems). persons with expertise) I'm going to buy two more for a different project.

Flaring tubing is mentioned in the manual; do I need to purchase a flaring tool or is tubing self-flaring? tightened the nut and made it flare?

The tubing came with nuts on each end and flared tube ends (you can't slide the nut off a flared tube). However, if the tubing is far too long, you can cut it with a small'mini' tubing cutter and flare the end with a tubing flare tool. However, make certain that the nut is installed first. To me, just the fact that you're asking this question indicates that you should hire a licensed air conditioning contractor to install it. You should vacuum the lines, among other things, and I doubt you have a proper vacuum (not a house cleaning vacuum). Your warranty may be void if you do not hire a licensed AC technician.

In a single word, incredible
5/5

In a single word, incredible. This unit arrived exactly as described and in a much shorter time than expected. Do not attempt to install this yourself unless you are a fairly advanced handyperson. The instructions aren't exactly up to snuff. Overall, this machine is extremely quiet; at first, I didn't realize it was on, and the fit and finish are exquisite. It took me about eight hours to complete the installation; however, if you know what you're doing, it will go much faster. This is the first time I've ever installed one of these units. We are currently in late spring in New Hampshire, and my home is approximately 650 feet in length. 2 and this 12,000 BTU unit has no trouble cooling this area. I'm excited to get a chance to test out this unit's heating capabilities. It's only been a test run so far, but the heat comes out quickly and it should be able to keep up with our demand; the electric company is currently offering rebates that will cover the entire cost of this unit. If something were to happen to this unit, I would buy it and reinstall it. To install this unit, I bought a cheap Chinese vacuum pump that already had the gauge set up. Just keep in mind that those pumps get hot and won't run straight out. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this unit. The remote control is extremely simple to use. friendly. After a year of use, I'll try to remember to update this review, but for now, this unit is incredible. br>br> br> br> br> br> br> b December 21, 2018br>br> We've now been through the summer, and this unit has performed admirably in meeting our cooling requirements. We've had some extremely cold weather, with temperatures as low as 0°F, and this unit has performed admirably. It struggles a little below 5°, so if your weather is consistently colder than that, you may need a backup heat source.

I've found the best deal on a 12000 BTU heater
5/5

DC inverter with 220 volts! Used to create a non-conditioned 400 square foot loft room above a garage. As is customary with mini splits, there were a few installation issues. However, if you know how to use a flaring tool, are comfortable with wiring, and can operate basic functions on a set of manifold gauges, these are likely the best options available. Make sure to get a 220v DC inverter compressor model if you can afford it. It's the difference between life and death. Because the wire required is of a smaller gauge, you will save some money, which can add up over time. The 12000 btu is powered by a 12/3 romex, but the load is so light that it could theoretically be powered by a 14/3. It's also very quiet and vibration-free. In terms of sound and shake, the 110v versions aren't quite up to par. br>br>Be patient if it doesn't start up right away after installation; it needs time to calibrate and other things, which could lead you to believe it isn't working. So turn on the heat or the air conditioning for a while and leave it alone. br>br>I'd make a few changes. The remote control is stuck in the past. For the United States, the wire connections could be better labeled. market. If they can come up with a nice wifi control system to include, that is. It will own the market once Alexa and Google Home are ready, but you'll have to buy some separate devices to get there for now.

This unit is fantastic and well worth the money

It took me 3 1/2 hours to install this excellent unit after carefully following the instructions step by step. br>br>It cools very well. br>br>The only issue was that it called for a yellow wire in the inside wire connector, but the cable had red, black, white, and green, so it took me a few minutes to figure it out. In the deep south, I was impressed
5/5

In the master bedroom, I installed this unit. It was installed to take the place of a window air conditioner. On auto, this unit maintains a constant temperature. On the auto setting, the interior unit is very quiet. You don't notice the unit running when it's set to auto, but you're still cool and comfortable. This is being used in the Deep South, where the temperature is 95 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity is high. It was too cold when we first turned it on the cool setting. In addition, the outdoor unit is extremely quiet. We thought it had broken down when we went outside to check the noise level. Until we got within a few feet of the central unit, we couldn't hear it over the neighbor's central unit. I'm waiting for the first electric bill because this unit uses less energy than the window unit. br>br>Do your homework to ensure that the wall mount interior unit will work with your floor plan. The inside unit is approximately 3 feet long, with a few inches of clearance between it and the ceiling.

It does not cool the area that it claims to cool
3/5

Will not be able to cool 750 square feet as claimed in the description. For the area it claims to handle, you'll need at least 18000 units. UPDATE. This is a waste of time. It used to draw 1400 watts and wouldn't cool; now it only draws 445 watts at most, and it's 6 degrees cooler outside than it is inside on the ac setting. Invest in a pioneer or diakon.
