The heat pump's HSPF was not listed on the paperwork, or at least I couldn't find it. I live in South Mississippi, where the winters are cold and wet, so I spent $100 to install a 10 kw heat strip in my unit. I recommend that you do the same because the unit will not turn on and off as much in the winter and will run for longer. I hope this has been of assistance.
If you purchase a ten thousand dollar heat strip for the unit.
1400- Depending on the size of the duct, the cost could be as high as 1600 dollars.

Upon delivery, our installer told us the unit is set-up properly. Our ductwork is under our house, so it's designed to move air up, not down, which is what we needed. When I contacted the company, they informed me that it didn't matter! I have a furnace compartment next to our hall bathroom, and if I laid the unit on its side, my children would have to jump over it to get into their bathroom. Why is there a condensation tray if the unit works in either direction? To make it work, our installer needed to rearrange everything. AT MY EXPENSE, I have now replaced the circuit board twice, the fan motor, and the fan motor control board. Our heat pump isn't working, and it hasn't worked since it was installed. Our installer was told by Luxaire that the equipment was not covered by warranty because it was purchased online. We've already spent an additional $1100 after the initial installation costs, and it still doesn't work properly. If I had known the problems we would face, I would not have purchased this item.
As stated in the advertisement. The system is simple to set up. So far, it has done a good job of cooling the house. Unfortunately, it is significantly less expensive than purchasing from a local distributor. Installation was completed by a licensed HVAC technician, who also signed a warranty agreement. I was able to save more than $2000. 00 by removing the old system and installing a new local HVAC system. Very easy.
