I'm keeping an eye on my 12k BTU unit. When I first turn it on, it draws more power, usually around 800 watts; the highest draw I've seen was around 1200 watts. Once the room is at the desired temperature, I use the mute function to help control humidity and quiet it down. When it's on, it uses about 300 watts to keep the temperature stable. br>br>Heating, on the other hand, is a completely different story. When heating, it usually jumps to 1100 to 1300 watts and stays there. These units are divided into two categories: air conditioning units and heating units. However, it still performs admirably, albeit with more effort.
Yes, after a power outage, it returns to its previous settings.
On Amazon, I purchased it. Use the product code B01I4P8BA to find OSK103.
Because these units use copper piping, it's difficult to say how much vibration they can take before they break down.

Today was the last day of the installation. It appears to be working properly, and as an automotive A/C technician, I had the necessary tools to handle the tubing and evacuate the system properly. Be aware that there are several places where things can go horribly wrong as a homeowner. The copper lines and flares must be handled with extreme caution. It also appears that the valves on the condenser unit could be snapped off with ease. br>One star deducted for marketing to homeowners but not providing a warranty beyond the "basic" one-year period if the unit is self-installed. the installation Update on the heating season: br>br> I live in Massachusetts, and I've been using it to heat my 2000 square foot home for the majority of the season. It's great and there aren't any unexpected electricity bills. When the temperature drops below 20 degrees, I switch to oil, but I have no complaints.
Even at -, the recent cold spell in Texas put this thing to the test. It kept the room at 72 degrees Fahrenheit even when the temperature dropped by 2 degrees Fahrenheit. What a shock! It is very quiet and easy to set up. I'm extremely pleased with myself.
I've bought a few split systems over the years, and this one is by far the quietest; both the inside and outside units are extremely quiet; normally, the outside compressor unit is not as quiet, but this one is, and you wouldn't even notice it running unless you were standing right next to it. Fitted just outside the bedroom where the inside unit is, it can't be heard from the inside at all, as the house is only made of wood and has very basic insulation, but the outside unit makes no noise inside. It's a simple installation that anyone with a good DIY attitude can complete. I sell and repair Heat Pump Pool Heaters, so I have all of the HVAC equipment and know-how, but other than a vacuum pump, which is recommended before releasing the freon gas into the unit, there are no special tools required. The inside handler is a bit tricky to install and will require two people; however, the template and steel mounting plate are simple to use, and once you've used the template, the rest is just a bit of awkward above-your-head work for about 10 minutes. You don't need a torque wrench gauge to tighten up the freon lineset connections; just use two sets of grips to tighten them up. We went all out on the outside concrete base unit because we are in a large area with a high water table and a natural stream, which means major flooding during tropical storms or hurricanes, which is why it is so high off the ground. Paver slabs were used, and holes were drilled, bolts were inserted, and the whole thing was cemented together. br>br>Most of these units are rebadged from a central Chinese manufacturer; however, the entire package is well put together, and a call to the supplier because delivery was delayed was met with a human response, politeness, and helpful information, indicating that customer service was excellent. You can't go wrong with a good price, a good unit, and good customer service. br>br>The trunking kit from another supplier worked fine, but I'm not sure why they only provide about 10 feet of trunking when the shortest line length is 16 feet, but this has nothing to do with the unit supplier. br>br>WELL IMPRESSED SUPER QUIET SUPER COOL INSTALLATION IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA.
This is an amazing unit! In less than 5 hours, I installed it myself, and it quickly heats and cools my garage.
a tidy unit - Everything is in order. This is an outstanding piece of equipment. I've been using it for heat, and it heats very well down to single digit, and even single digit negative temperatures, in just a few hours. It's in a 15-foot ceiling garage with a large garage bay door, and even when it's open for a long time, this unit quickly heats the space back up. The electric bill for the entire month with the unit running 24 hours a day, seven days a week came in at $75 (. 17 cents per kilowatt-hour), which took into account a variety of other factors. The efficiency is outstanding. br>br>It isn't as quiet as some higher-end units from Panasonic or Daikin, but it's close, and the price difference more than compensated. Only when I'm outside near the unit and listening for the sound can I hear it.
It's a great unit, and it's 110v, which makes it a lot easier to use if your breaker box is full. It is extremely quiet and has transformed a cold and damp space into a warm and inviting environment. This is something I should've done a long time ago. A total of $1000 was spent on the unit, vacuum pump, pressure gauge, and flange kit. Even though I did 90 of the work, I asked for an HVAC buddy to come and assist in charging the system. Because it was the first mini split I'd installed, the extra $250 was well worth it to me.
It's been about a month since I put it in my garage. I've performed admirably. My garage is not well insulated, and it has always been extremely cold in the winter. It's now one of the house's warmest rooms. I can't comment on energy efficiency because I haven't received my power bill yet, but it is certainly capable. I expected the installation to be difficult, so I was prepared. I'm glad they have the 120 volt version because my breaker box is too small to accommodate 240 volt breakers. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've been running this for a long time and it's fantastic. In the winter, it keeps my garage warm, and in the summer, it keeps it cool. We recently experienced a severe heat wave (with temperatures well into the triple digits), and this machine handled it admirably. It was a little pricey at first, but I don't regret it. Even after running this unit very hard, the power bill remains reasonable.
My studio shed has received a major upgrade. The heater is extremely quiet and ideal for the winter. There are numerous options to choose from.
