Yes, if the "Dry" mode is selected. Dry mode dehumidifies without overheating by running the fan at a low speed. reducing the temperature of your room(s).
Wait 90 to 120 seconds for the evaporator to heat up before the blower turns on, as long as the refrigerant charge is correct.
Sorry, but for a ductless unit, it's not very efficient. A ductless unit with a mid-efficiency rating of 19 SEER and 12 HSPF is considered mid-range. Pricing is reasonable, but if at all possible, choose a 240-volt model; 120-volt is an unusual voltage unless you have specific requirements, as I do. These should work down to at least 28 degrees Fahrenheit, but check the specifications carefully. If you can't make heads or tails of the specifications, hire a pro to install it for you and save yourself a lot of grief down the road. This advice applies to all brands. A true HVAC specialist

The garage was cooled using this product. It performs admirably and is extremely quiet. Even though it's 98 degrees outside, it quickly cools our garage down to 70 degrees. It was a pain to install, and the warranty isn't valid unless it's done by a licensed HVAC technician. I strongly suggest the product, but only if you know someone who works in the HVAC industry. We did it ourselves, so my warranty is void. I'm hoping it keeps working as well as it has. Also, although I couldn't find this information anywhere, it does come pre-charged.
Exceptional quality. The OLMO 12,000 BTU was recently installed. The voltage is 115. It was professionally installed. Everything went smoothly during the setup. It took about 3 hours to complete. It's a very quiet machine. I can't hear it at all when it's on low speed. It was installed in my bedroom suite, with the air conditioner mounted on cement bricks outside. I wanted a second air conditioner so that I wouldn't have to cool the entire house just to cool one room. Also, rather than firing up a 5 ton unit, it would be more cost effective. I am very pleased with the quality and efficiency of the service. This unit was chosen because it had copper pipes and a Toshiba 5-year warranty on the condenser. I removed the OLMO decal to make the unit blend in better with the rest of the house. It is now very cold. As it is a "heat pump" energy source, it can be used for heating. The unit has exceeded my expectations.
This is very useful information. This heats and cools a 16x24 outbuilding for me. The outside unit's quietness astounded me. We've had some nights with temperatures as low as 26 degrees with the thermostat set to 75 degrees. There aren't any problems, and I really enjoy it. We'll see how the cooling system performs during the summer. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I also bought a vaccum pump and an adapter, which I do not recommend. I spent three hours trying to pull a vacuum only to discover that the pump was not working properly. The unit is precharged, but it MUST be vacuumed before charging the system, so my local AC guy charged $80 to pull the vacuum and test it. Please don't scrimp on this, or you'll run into problems; best of luck! I strongly suggest it!.
It keeps the temperature in my unheated garage down by 30 degrees. I can only imagine what would happen if I wrapped it in insulation. This is an incredible product.
It was extremely easy to set up. It takes up 400 square feet in my garage. As I type this, the temperature outside is around 102 degrees. The garage will not be cooled below 81 degrees with the 12,000 btu unit. That's only a difference of 21 degrees. This unit appeared to be capable of cooling my garage, in my opinion. If this is the only thing the unit can do, it should be stated that it can only cool that much. My garage, by the way, is insulated completely. R-values are applied to the exterior walls. The attic is the same age as the rest of the house, which is 30 years old. I can't feel the cool air if I stand on the side of the garage opposite the wall unit. The fan is set to cool and is turned up to its highest setting. Last week, my next-door neighbor put in a 12,000-btu unit. It will take less than 20 minutes to cool his large garage. I wish I had spent a little more money and gone with a different brand.
I can't say enough good things about this unit. It was a breeze to set up. If you have no experience with this, I would recommend hiring an air conditioning professional to complete the installation; however, anyone with time and patience could do it. The only issue I had wasn't with the unit or the seller; it was with the gentleman who simply dropped it out of the delivery van. He also left it on its side, despite the fact that it is clearly marked which side is up and that it is required to be set right side up.
It is extremely quiet both inside and out. I was taken aback when I realized it was running and that I was standing right next to the outdoor unit's business end. My HVAC technician was astounded by the price as well as the unit's overall quality. He also ensured that parts could be swapped out for common parts found in almost all of these ductless machines. He'd encountered people who didn't get along with others before, so he assumed this would be the same, but he was surprised to find that it was. Cheers.
I purchased this product a few months ago, but when the technician arrived to install it, he informed me that some parts were missing. I was disappointed because he was unable to complete the installation, and he still charged me for the labor that he performed. Now I'm stuck with an unfinished job and no heat for this winter. He informed me that the copper pipes that they sent are the correct ones, but they do not fit, and he cannot complete the installation without those pipes, which is very disappointing.
