Questions & Answers

What happened to the only one with air conditioning? I'm not in the mood for the heat. ?

At this time, the AC models are not listed; however, we plan to add them in the coming weeks.

What kind of wifi kit do I need for this unit, and where can I get it?

Aside from your existing router, you shouldn't require any additional Wifi equipment. I'm not sure if these have a direct wifi connection to the unit, so you'll need an in-home router. network in the house If you've never done it before, it's a simple task. Just a simple $50-$100-$150-$200-$300-$ A $100 router that allows you to connect to the unit using your phone and an app. It does, however, come with its own wireless remote, which is most likely RF (radio frequency), Bluetooth (unlikely), or IR (infrared light type setup). So, unless it's a real pain, you shouldn't need to use WIFI at all. I don't have time to investigate further, but you can take a chance knowing that, in the worst-case scenario, you can add a cheap router to handle the wifi, or at the very least, you have the included wireless remote. BTW, if a company says it's a "wireless" remote but doesn't say whether it's WIFI or Bluetooth, it's probably RF or IR (radio wave or infrared). It is always better and less problematic to use radio frequency (RF).

What is the seer rating of the 2 ton unit, and can we get refrigerant lines that are 25 feet long? Please accept my gratitude. ?

The 2 Ton has a 17 SEER rating, and we have 25FT kits in stock. Thank you

Wasn't it supposed to be fully charged when you got it?

The outdoor unit has already been set up. charged. The indoor and line kit are not included in this package.

Very let down
3/5

I'm not happy with my experience with innovair. I bought two units and had them professionally installed. One works great, but the other is defective. I called and called, and all I got was a text message. I kept calling, and finally a tech person calls and tells me that I have to pay the air conditioning company to come out and troubleshoot, and if they can't figure out the problem, I have to pay to ship it back after I've already paid to have them installed.

Despite the "installation instructions," it appears to be well-made, works flawlessly, and is simple to set up
5/5

Basic installation instructions need to be made more clear. I'm a fairly capable do-it-yourselfer who owns all of the necessary tools and has a good understanding of vehicle air conditioning systems. The installation would not have been possible without the service manual. The connections were supposed to be hidden behind the knock out panel on the right side of the indoor unit, according to the installation instructions. Only the electrical connections are on the right side; the refrigerant connections are in the middle of the back, facing out the left side, so I had to dismantle the cover (which came with excellent instructions). ) After that, remove the unit from the wall and connect the refrigerant lines before rehanging it with the copper lines in place. The bottom line is that the unit works great, is very quiet, and I did not even vacuum the lines before releasing the supplied refrigerant into the lines from the outdoor unit. In addition, the installation manual refers to a "yellow" wire; however, the cable provided only had white, red, black, and green wires. It worked out fine because I thought the white was "yellow. ".

It's ideal for a camper and can be powered by a small generator
5/5

First and foremost, I am employed by a commercial HVAC company and hold a valid license. Mini split systems are also something I'm very familiar with. As a result, installing this in our camper was a breeze for me. It's as well-made as any other band I've put in. The rooftop unit was removed, and the mini split's outside unit was installed on the bumper (weight was not a problem). This thing starts softly (low amps) and runs flawlessly on our 2200 watt generator. The heat pump is far superior to the small heater we had previously. The dehumidifier does an excellent job, and the cooling system quickly lowers the camper's temperature and keeps it within a set range. It is extremely quiet and does not wake us up when it is turned on. When a 2200 watt generator is used, the video shows it starting up.

So far, everything has gone well
5/5

I was blown away! This unit has left a lasting impression on me. It's very quiet inside, and it's even quieter outside. Because I've worked in the HVAC industry before, the installation went smoothly. I only needed to purchase a vacuum pump and gauges, which I was able to obtain for a reasonable price on Amazon. This is a fantastic addition to our newly completed basement. The shipping was quick, and the unit was in good condition.

For my bus conversion, this is perfect
5/5

If you're using a mobile setup, use both drains. In general, I'm blown away. I'm a digital nomad who lives in a converted school bus and is in the process of converting another one. I've had portable air conditioners and window units before, but nothing has ever come close to this. By comparison, these appear to use less electricity and are extremely quiet. Actually, it's just a particularly quiet time. I can't hear the outside unit at all, and unless I use the turbo or boost function, I can't hear the indoor unit at all. Even so, I have to be in close proximity to hear it. br>br>On a hot and humid 94-degree day, one unit kept this bus cool, but I'll be adding a second unit next week. With my electrical setup, I can run this 24 hours a day, seven days a week without having to plug anything in. br>br>I received the wifi adapter, and it was very simple to set up. Don't be put off by the negative reviews, but keep in mind that it only connects to the 2. You must be on the same network during setup, but once completed, you can control your temperature from anywhere using any network. Yes, you must sign in to use the app, but there is a good reason for this. They keep your unit connected using their own cloud service, so you don't have to do anything in your network to allow for remote access when you're not at home. To put it another way, once your system is set up, you can connect to it via a secure connection even if you aren't at home. If you're concerned about privacy, use a password you don't use anywhere else, as well as an email address that isn't your primary personal email address. The account requires no information other than the log-in information, so it's unlikely that anyone will gain access to it. In addition, if they ever have a security breach, they can simply unplug the wifi adapter. It would take about 2 seconds, after which no one would be able to remotely access your unit. For those of us who aren't paranoid, there is a simple solution. br>br>Another advantage of this unit is the amount of water it removes from the air. This is critical for any nomad, regardless of which rig they are in. I don't even need air holes under my mattress now that I have this unit. It's sitting on plywood, and I'm not concerned about mold or moisture. Even in the kitchen, I can leave powdered sugar or salt in a container overnight and it will not absorb moisture and clump. We also filter and use water from our air conditioning system. br>br> At least 10 gallons (yes, 10 gallons) are easily obtained. We can shower every day, do laundry twice or three times a week (multiple loads each time), run our dishwasher daily, and keep our Berkey filled without ever having to go to the store for water. br>br>Getting back to how quiet this thing is, I'm still amazed at how well it works without making any noise; the inner unit is said to make about 30 dB of noise. That has to be the measurement for turbo mode because I can't hear this thing even when it's on low, like a battery-powered fan. I can turn the TV down to 1 or 2 on the volume at night and still hear everything, which is important because I work remotely. This is by far the quietest air conditioner I've ever had. It has sleep modes that are said to be even quieter, but I've never tried them. It's still too quiet to hear, and far too quiet for any microphone to pick up, even on turbo. Just be cautious of the copper lines that come with it. br>br> No, not all of them are created equal. These are extremely soft, and I was on the verge of kinking one at one point. It'll all work out if you just bend things slowly, or you can get pipe benders if you're nervous. Simply avoid bending a 90-degree angle at any point (obviously). To make a right turn, simply bend it in multiple directions to achieve a 90-degree angle. Also, for optimal operation, read the instructions on how to bend it to insert fluid traps. br>br>Since I'm in a more mobile situation, one thing I've learned about units like this with multiple drain plugs is to use them all. I almost never sit perfectly still, and the flow of water notices it even if I don't. This can result in water leaking from the air conditioner in places other than the drain hose you're using. Fortunately, I had a spare hose from a portable unit that fit perfectly. For a few days, I tried it with only one side draining, but I quickly realized I needed both and added the second. Outside of the drain hoses, there is no longer any dripping from the (inside) unit. br>br>I didn't have a vacuum on hand because I don't use them often enough and because they're so heavy. Instead, I used the Pioneer KWIK-IT flushing system in a can. Installation Simplifier for Mini Split Air Conditioning Systems with a VAC Line Set Flushing Kit. This is also the coolest blowing unit I've ever had, so I'm wondering if that (much easier to use than a vacuum) played a role in it. There was no need to use a vacuum because this removed all of the air from the system and effectively "primed" it for use. br>br>I'm very pleased with this system and am looking forward to installing the next one in the front this week. This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone else in a skoolie. br>br>Update 7/11/2021br>br>I discovered a small leak on one of my two units' outside connection, but it was too late. It wasn't due to a flaw in the product; instead, it was due to a human error. I realized I hadn't properly torqued that connection. I vacuumed out the system and added more coolant (which, surprisingly, I was able to purchase from Walmart, a 25lb tank of r410a), and it now appears to be cooling far better than before. I evacuated, vacuumed, and refilled the other system after noticing the improvement, and the result was the same; There was no icing and the air was much, MUCH cooler (not that it wasn't cold before). There were no faults, and I used an accurate gauge cluster on a new manifold as well as an actual scale to weigh how much went in, which matched the service manual's instructions, so I didn't overfill or anything. It simply works better, and the outer units have become quieter as well. br>br>So, as much as I enjoyed using the canned stuff I mentioned earlier (Pioneer KWIK-1) Something tells me that skipping that step and instead using my vacuum pump is why my units are now working even better. As a result, I would no longer advise using that line set flushing kit; It's simple to clean. The majority of the hoses for those vacuum kits are for r134 systems, so make sure you get the r410 adapter (it was less than $10). (On Amazon, it's currently $10. 00). I used a 1/3 horsepower vacuum, but I'm sure 1/4 horsepower machines would work just as well (though it might take a little longer). br>br>However, for my bus conversion, the two of these are a five-star system.

However, it is simple to set up
5/5

I'm not a professional by any stretch of the imagination. Things that should be obvious to professionals may be unfamiliar to me and other do-it-yourselfers. The color codes, in my opinion, should have been included in the instruction book. br>br>On the low voltage side, the 1234 and red black white green perplexed me. br>br>The wire color code is not clearly marked. The manual makes no mention of how the colors correspond to 1234 and red black white green. The pros may think it's obvious, but it was difficult for me. I took a chance and looked at a lot of other mini split wiring diagrams, and I discovered that the color order is consistent across all of them. Other mini splits follow the same procedure. I've already forgotten the code, but I'll make a mental note of it before disconnecting it. The rest, on the other hand, was relatively simple for me. If you get a wifi dongle. br>br> Setting two or more temperatures for day and night is easy with the wifi app. It's a little difficult to understand at first, but it works. You can use your phone to control the temperature in your home from anywhere on the planet. It's really cool, and I think it's worth $35. br>br>With the unit, I am pleased. It's extremely quiet, and it can easily cool a 750-square-foot tin can.

In South Florida, it's perfect for our garage
5/5

The device performs admirably. I did require some assistance in connecting everything. It does necessitate the use of two sets of hands. I hired an electrician to make the electrical changes.
