WHERE I LIVE IN SOUTH CAROLINA, SUMMER BEGINS IN APRIL. THIS UNIT WAS PURCHASED TO BE USED IN A BEDROOM AT NIGHT. I READ THOUSANDS OF REVIEWS ON THIS AND OTHER PRODUCTS. I RECEIVED THE UNIT ONE DAY EARLIER THAN EXPECTED, WHICH WAS AMAZING! SHIPPING HAD NO EFFECT ON THE BOX OR THE PRODUCT. THE VENTING OF THE WINDOW KIT TOOK THE LONGEST PART OF THE INSTALLATION, AND IT WAS NOT DUE TO THE PRODUCT, BUT TO THE FACT THAT OUR WINDOW WAS LARGER THAN A NORMAL WINDOW. WE TURNED IT ON AFTER GETTING IT VENTED, AND THE ROOM WAS COOL IN MINUTES. THE REMOTE WORKS EXCELLENTLY AND COOLS DOWN A ROOM QUICKLY. IT CAN GET VERY COLD QUICKLY, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT WE PREFER! WHEN WE REACH OVER 100 DEGREES HERE, WE WILL SEE HOW IT CONTINUES TO KEEP UP. SOME PEOPLE MAY FIND THE NOISE TOO LOUD, BUT WE SLEEP WITH BOX FANS, SO THE SOUND IS NOT AN ISSUE FOR US. After all, it's an air conditioner, so it's basically the same noise you'd hear if you stayed in a hotel and turned on the air conditioning. WE HAVE A SMALL SPACE, BUT I WOULD RATHER BE COLD THAN HAVE SPACE! IT'S BIG AND WE ARE CRAMPED, BUT THAT IS IN NO WAY A REASON NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT! WE JUST HAVE A SMALL SPACE, BUT I WOULD RATHER BE COLD THAN HAVE SPACE! WE HAVE BEEN RUNNING IT FOR THREE WEEKS WITHOUT DRAINING IT. OVERALL, AFTER MUCH CONSIDERATION AND READING ALL OF THE REVIEWS, I MUST GIVE THE PRODUCT A FIVE STAR REVIEW! I HAVE SPENT THE MOST MONEY IN MY LIFE!.

Our master bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a sitting area with two walls of windows. It's like having a greenhouse attached to your house in the summer. Even with the central air running on some days, it's uncomfortable. This room necessitates the use of an additional air conditioning unit. I like how this portable unit can be easily moved to a different window or rolled away when not in use. I did have to purchase some weather stripping to use with the window vent kit, but that is most likely due to the construction of our window sills. It's a huge improvement over the Honeywell unit we purchased a few years ago. Unlike the old air conditioner, this one has an evaporative dry function, so I haven't had to drain any water. Our bedroom is a good size, and even with the addition of the mini greenhouse, this unit keeps our large room cool. This is a unit I strongly recommend.

I wanted something that I could take with me from room to room as needed. I fell in love with the box as soon as I opened it! It uses a side vent rather than a top vent to blow air. You can control the fan covers by swinging them up and down, or you can program this unit to do it for you! My only criticism is that it sounds like an ordinary window air conditioner. I simply ignore it by turning up the volume on the television. It's a little heavy at 75 pounds, but it has wheels and finger grips so you can roll it or pick it up to get it moving. With the exhaust tubing and window parts that connect to your window behind or beside this unit, it was extremely simple to set up. My purchase has met my expectations:.

Although this air conditioner produces a lot of cold air, I also circulate the air with my room fan. It says 10,000 BTUs, but it's closer to 12000 BTUs, and I had to lift it once to drain it because it's quite heavy. I spoke with the seller, who assured me that I would never have to completely drain it; all I needed to do was switch the mode from a/c to dry. My room is about 8x8 feet and usually about 12 feet high, so I believe it consumes very little energy. It quickly cools down my entire room.

Because the room is 14 by 18, it cools it quickly. The unit is well-built, and I believe it is a better design than the LG I currently have in my garage. The drain is in a more convenient location, and the window seal plate is thicker and more durable overall. My only gripe is that my room's windows are only 25 inches wide, so I had to cut the seal plate pieces to fit. To put it another way, the seal plate's width is larger than my window, so I had to cut it down to fit.

The AC system began to leak water after two months, causing water to flood the floor. Despite numerous attempts to drain the system, the system remains intact. Inside the system, the bottom is filling up with about an inch of water, which overflows onto my carpet. It makes a noise as if something is broken inside. I understand that products have issues from time to time, but the worst part is that I have to pay shipping to have it returned so they can fix it. These units are not light, and now I have to lug it around town while also paying for shipping. Just not when you'd expect to pay $400 for it.

Because there were no reviews at the time, I was hesitant to order this unit, but I overcame my fear and did so. Because we were expecting a heat wave, one-day shipping was ideal because it allowed us to sleep. The air conditioner maintains a comfortable temperature in the space. br>A couple of remark: br>It does sound like an airplane is idling in your bedroom, but I don't know of any air conditioners that are quiet. br>The connection between the hose and the back of the unit is shoddy. It isn't held in place by a screw or a band. The unit did fall off a few times while being moved around. br>The window piece is disappointing in that it does not include any of the foam or rubber seals that are required for a proper installation. The manufacturer did offer some advice and credit, which was very thoughtful of them, but it should have come with the unit anyway. br>Shouldn't the tube be insulated because it's so hot? br>At the end of the day, it keeps the room cool enough for me to sleep and my wife to snore comfortably.

It's amazing how well it cools down a room. The remote control, as well as the feature that allows you to swing the vent covers up and down (swing setting), surprised and delighted me. It circulates air effectively, making summer in my third-floor Louisiana apartment less oppressive. I'm glad to have it, and the quality so far has been excellent.
