The stainless steel flatware I have been using has never given me a problem. In my experience, I have never added the pieces that are meant to last longer. To be honest, however, I did not find knives, forks and spoons to be too problematic.

My kitchen has no drawers so I use it for my silverware, cooking utensils, and even some silverware I use on a regular basis. In my experience, it has come in incredibly handy and I would buy it again if given the opportunity.
When I opened the box, I was surprised at how large the flatware caddy was. As I expected, it is much bigger than I thought. In the photo, they appear rectangular, but in reality, there are three square holders (almost 4 inches on each side). After I read the description, I realized that I should have looked at the size. A party with this will be a lot of fun. As an alternative to using it every day, I will use it as a ceramic planter or for table decoration with silk flowers if I decide not to use it every day.
