I'm not happy with the window kit at all. You weighed your options and are getting one regardless, so I'm going to assume that most people are aware portable units are allaround worse than windows. There was not much difference between this and similar portable ac's in regards to energy efficiency, which was over ten compared to Windows starting at 13 and similar portable ac's being closer to eight. Thus, you got a greater cooling power per watt from SACC than you would from competitors. I decided to buy it because it was cool. The unit is on my second floor office and bedroom, with regular windows, and it is being used to spot cool in those rooms, which is the intended purpose of a portable unit. The windows are 27 and 30 inches, which is a fairly standard size to me. No matter which way you put it, the kit provided WILL NOT fit. There is a definite difference in size, with a good approximation of one bracket extending fully and another bracket extending only minimally. It does not fit standard windows in any way. The window can be used on windows 24 inches and below, or 33 inches and above, but not For the purpose of affixing the hose to the window, I had to purchase a universal kit at Lowe's. The fact that GE can make a unit that is so energy efficient and have an assembly kit that is so difficult to assemble is incredible. Even if the size did work, I will say that the components were quite cheaply made and the lock for the hose on the sliders does not stay, so you end up having to buy another window assembly to use this one. Why do you still rate it In terms of its own quality, the unit is very efficient, and it has a current rating of 8 AMPs, which prevents the breaker from tripping. Keep in mind that this unit as well as most portable air conditioners are meant to supplement central air conditioning rather than acting as the sole source of cooling. Although it doesn't do all the work, it still does the job. There is a lot more cool air in the sauna level WFH office.

This is one of my favorite 3 in 1 games possessed a GE dehumidifier, but when it was hot I couldn't just dehumidify when I used the air conditioner- The previous one was condensed for an additional $150. I returned it and got this one. Quite easy to install and works right away, and the room is cool within minutes of turning it on. Due to the size of my windows, only one panel was needed from the window kit. In spite of the fact that it is off, the thermometer still shows the room temperature. My complaints do not stem from the noise it is no louder than a fan on High. There is a lot of weight to it, but wheels are installed on the base so that greatly helped. As a whole, this unit is highly recommended.

A 10 year old unit failed on one of the hottest days of the summer, so I bought this one to replace it. Shipping from the SW US to the Pacific NW was prompt and the package arrived in The system exceeded my expectations and was very simple to install. It operates very quietly, there are touch pad controls to make it easy to use, and it has a remote control for the couch potatoes, Let's hope it will provide the same quality of service as my last one in 10 years. I'll be thrilled to hear from you!.

It's okay overall, but it should have been included. We are satisfied with how things turned out. Due to looking at WiFi enabled split air conditioning units, I overlooked the fact that this model did not have it, which frustrated me, as I wanted to run it remotely while away from home for my cat without wasting energy. The box does not advise of the WiFi and app setup required, the Amazon page does not mention until you get to the side-by-side comparison with other models, so I guess I was misled, but it was clear to me in the description when I bought the product. I didn't want to buy the $550 model, which is the cheapest in this line with WiFi, but weighs an extra 20 lbs and charges for a twice the size room. Such a bummer on that front. Aside from that, I was impressed with the Energy rating, and it weighs 60lb, so it's In my scooter, I can go wherever I want. The kit is easy to set up, but the window kit will not work for my situation either so I'll stick with cardboard and packing tape until I can find a better one. In addition to being cold, the remote is easy to use, the fan has a vertical sweep feature on it, and the price is reasonable. Additionally, the screen is a little smaller than what I expected, which is great. Please GE make WiFi standard on portables, so that we can save money and the environment and enjoy a more comfortable and convenient life.

This one was awful. There is an exorbitant amount of noise coming out of It's winter, so maybe I'll open it now, and fix it, because I don't need it yet at this time. Neither of my big rooms were cooled, and in my small room it cooled only a small amount. No matter how small the window units are, they are superior to the larger.
