I have no doubt that it does not produce the advertised 14,000 BTUs of cooling. Recent moves I made brought me into a house with no central air conditioning. My research led me to buy three different units to evaluate which had the best performance. I got a Della 14,000 BTU unit, a Black and Decker 10,000 BTU unit, and a Honeywell 8,000 BTU unit. A Black and Decker air conditioner is by far one of the best for cooling large rooms. As it turns out, Della and Honeywell cool about equally, which is disappointing because Della is supposed to cool about twice as well as We are very disappointed in the quality of this product and would not purchase it.

It has almost all the qualities I love. As you can imagine, it does just about everything I need for summer in Minneapolis, including maintaining a comfortable temperature in the apartment.
