Questions & Answers
That is a great question. That attachment was what I was looking for.
Yes, you can use the air hose, but not the drainage tube, which you only use when the light on the water tank indicates that it is full.
The ac condenser drains the water, not the other way around. when you're out running It can be caught in the drain tank (which must be manually emptied when full) or directed to an exterior drain via drain hoses. The hose drain to sewer disposal is covered by those caps.

We live in Texas and purchased this for an upstairs bedroom that does not benefit from our air conditioning. It's not a problem downstairs, but it can be a challenge upstairs. On a hot Texas afternoon, the temperature in the bedroom can reach 90 degrees. With the air conditioner on, the temperature is 95 degrees. Last year, I tried a high-output evaporative cooler (humidifier) type air conditioner, but it didn't work out. In this high-humidity environment, this is not a good combination. br>br>We read in other reviews that the window plate was not as long as advertised, and I can confirm that. To support the plate above it and fill in the remaining gap, I had to cut out a 5" piece of plasterboard. Aside from that, the installation went smoothly. br>br>The unit is extremely loud, and I can't seem to get past it - but; Because I sleep with the TV on, a slight increase in volume isn't too bothersome. br>br>The key for us has been to get up early (around 2 a. m. ). 00) and turn the volume up to eleven. By the time we get into bed, the temperature has dropped to around 76 degrees in a 300 square foot room. At that point, our standard air conditioner can do a decent job of combating the oppressive heat. If it ever loses the battle, all it takes is a simple push of the remote button to get things back on track. br>br>We used an infrared thermometer on the exhaust vent and got a respectable 52 degrees. The temperature is 55°F. br>br>If you live in a very hot-climate area, If you're in a hot, humid area and need to cool down a 250-pound object, I can strongly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a 300 square foot space that does not require a quiet office environment.
Price was appealing, as was the speed with which it reduced temperature. It was also attractive and simple to operate.
Its main flaw, in my opinion, is that it is VERY LOUD! The 'Sleep' setting has no effect. I can't hear any difference in the noise level. If you're a heavy sleeper, you won't be able to sleep with this. Earplugs are required, or you can run it until the room reaches the desired temperature, then turn it off for the night. br>Other things to keep in mind: The manual was clearly written by a non-native speaker. native speaker, and it doesn't make any sense at all. To begin, it's a good idea to have a basic understanding of how a portable air conditioner works. Despite this, putting it together and setting it up was not difficult for me. It was simple to figure out, and the controls are straightforward; the remote, despite its low cost, performs admirably. br>I haven't had to drain or clean it yet, but I'll let you know if that becomes necessary.
This was purchased for my mother, who lives in a trailer and recently had her central air system replaced. During the day, her trailer gets extremely hot, and this is a fantastic unit for cooling a large area. It includes everything you'll need to set up the unit, including a window piece for properly installing the drainage. There are two drains on the unit. It has a lot of power and is very effective. The vents can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally to direct cool air where it is needed. It has a built-in 24-hour timer, which is great for saving electricity because you can set it to turn off whenever you want. The remote control is in excellent working order and is ideal for my elderly mother. This portable air conditioner comes highly recommended by me. It has a lot of power and makes very little noise. I'm very happy with it.
*Edit* I wanted to update that customer service did respond via Amazon messages and refunded my product, so I gave them a two-star rating instead of a one-star rating because they helped me. br>In a nutshell: The air conditioning is broken. Also, customer service isn't very helpful when it comes to broken items. br>For more information, see the detailed version: br>We made a payment of 339 dollars. We paid $99 for this, and we're having a hard time getting any help from customer service. The problem with the appliance is that it has a setting that tells you when it's full of water and needs to be emptied, and guess what, that function started going off right away after it was installed. I explained the problem to COSTWAY, and their professional response was to send us a YouTube video showing how to completely disassemble the device and fiddle with the computer sensor. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't notice in the advertising that we would be responsible for repairing our own products if they arrived malfunctioning due to no fault of our own after we had spent a few hundred dollars on them. I literally had no idea how to do the work in a safe manner. After tilting it around, checking the plug for obstructions, and plugging it in over and over again, we finally got it to work for ONE evening. So we decided that everything was fine and that all we had to do now was work it out. Fast forward a few weeks to 90 degree weather, when we desperately need it, and no matter what I do, it keeps saying it's full of water, which is impossible given that we were very aware that this would be an easy set off for sensors. So, I called COSTWAY today, waited about 40 minutes on hold, got someone on the line, explained everything, and they said, "Ok, hold on a moment please. " I assumed they were on the phone with someone, but after two minutes, they hung up. So now, in the sweltering heat of 93 degrees, I'm calling them once more. Worse, the product directs you to them rather than Amazon, and the return option on Amazon has now expired because I tried to do it the right way. This company's products are not worth your time. Another red flag for me was that whoever was writing the email had sloppy English, which isn't something you'd want to represent your company, so that raised some red flags for me.
It was blowing COLD air just minutes after I plugged it in! Both of my daughters, as well as all three of my pets, were adamant about not leaving my room. It was so cold during the night that I turned it down to the lowest setting and was still cold enough that I had to turn it off, even after covering myself with another blanket. My dog, on the other hand, had buried herself beneath my blankets. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I intend to buy two more for other rooms in my apartment as soon as I can! I strongly advise you to buy this book.
