Yes. After a while, the LCD screen goes dark. When it's turned on at night, it's very bright.
Yes, it has settings similar to a fan.
Even when the light is turned off, it continues to cool. If that's the case, I'm guessing it'll turn off at night so it won't bother you. (I'm just speculating on that part)

My Breezewell Evaporative Cooler was delivered to me yesterday. First and foremost, the machine died within four hours of being turned on. It has been plugged in for 5 hours, but that is only one of the issues. The footer assembly, which is required to keep the machine from tipping over, came with no instructions for installation, but that was fine because I figured it out. It was switched on by me. It's VERY LOUD, like a high-pitched plastic whirring. So I wondered if filling the tank with water, which is located on the BACK of the machine and the gauge for how much water to put in the machine is located on the FRONT, would help quiet the machine. When you can't see what you're doing, it's difficult to tell what you're doing. Because the fill portal is simply a flat opening in the body, I needed to find a pitcher with a spout (I used a watering can) to fill it without spilling water all over the place. Oh, but you have to move the entire machine to get to the fill portal (remember, it's in the back) - The fancy footer (mentioned earlier) is concave and has a hard lip that sinks into the carpet - You must pick up the entire machine in order to turn it and place it in the water. Finally, I get the water in, turn on the machine (which is now filled to the brim with a gallon of water), and move it into the room. Yes, having water in the tank made the machine quieter, but it now spits water all over the place - there isn't even a smidgeon of a haze - Droplets of water are spitting out. But because my room was cooler, I went to bed, only to be awoken by the fact that I was scorching hot - The machine was no longer working. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in again. I plugged it in, switched it off, and then on again. It'll only oscillate, that's all. There is no evaporation because there is no fan. In the 5-page warning book, there are no troubleshooting instructions. I have to drain the water out of this POS before I can ship it back because of a final design flaw. The drain hole is located at the machine's bottom - I'll have to pick up the machine, which is cumbersome and heavy because it's full of water, and carry it to my bathroom, where I'll be able to drain it in the tub. I'm a petite 62-year-old, so moving this piece of junk isn't easy for me. As a result, I am now the proud owner of a massive piece of plastic garbage that will end up in a landfill after only one use. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: if I write a review, Breezewell will give me a $50 Amazon gift card - Do you believe I'll still be able to get it?.
This fan performs admirably and has a significant amount of power. It effectively cools and humidifies my bedroom. Because we don't have air conditioning and only have sliding glass doors as windows, this is especially useful in my apartment.
Simply fill the reservoir below with ice and water to make cold air. br>br>I went ahead and made a video to demonstrate the various settings, speed, and sound. I didn't make use of every option. A timer is also included, which is set to run every hour. Three speed settings are available on the fan. br>br> F1- The tree mode setting that imitated a breeze was f3 and the tree mode setting. Blowing, then slowing to almost no air flow, then blowing once more. br>I'm a big fan of that setting. It oscillates and isn't particularly loud: br>br> ) compared to my Honeywell upright oscillating fan. br>br>By putting a bunch of ice in the bottom of the unit, I was able to enjoy cold air coming from the unit, which felt great when it was hot outside.
This review is being written because this product is effective. My apartment's living room is extremely hot, so I purchased this in the hopes that it would help. There were 77 people in my apartment. After about a half hour, the temperature has dropped to 73.
When I was reading the reviews, I was curious about where everyone lived, so I mentioned that I live in California's San Joaquin Valley. According to Google, this area has an average relative humidity of about 40% in the summer. br>br>We've had the Beezewell Evaporative cooler for a few days now, and my son and I are huge fans (for those who enjoy puns). > My son and I converted my one-car garage into a "hang out" area for him. When I realized I couldn't use a portable air conditioner without a window in the garage, we bought this cooler. And when the temperatures in the garage began to rise into the high 70s and 80s, it became far too hot. We were able to semi-successfully (without going into too much detail) I insulated the garage and have been using the house's air conditioning on a semi-regular basis. Cool the garage room with a medium- to low-temperature air conditioner. ish level of success So far, a low-speed fan has provided ample cooling. I'm a big fan of what you've done so far. The oscillating feature is fantastic because it circulates stale air while also assisting in the intake of cooler air from within the home. We haven't used the cooling feature yet, but it's something I'm looking forward to doing when the time comes. When we've had a chance to use it, I'll update this post. In the meantime, I've included photos of the ice packs and fan, as well as size references (a pack of tic tac for the ice packs and a 1 gallon can of paint for the fan). br>br>Recent changes: br>br> We've had the fan for about two months now, which is late June. Unfortunately, the evaporative cooling function appears to only add an uncomfortably high level of humidity to the room while doing very little to cool it. The fan function, on the other hand, continues to do an excellent job of circulating air from inside the house as long as the door is open and my air conditioner is turned on. Although the garage has been slightly warmer than the inside of my house, it is still very comfortable. For context, it's been around 105 degrees outside, and I've got my air conditioning set to 73 degrees inside. We've been able to keep it between 75 and 80 degrees thanks to the fan, my makeshift insulation, and the open door. During the hottest parts of the day, the garage temperature reaches 80 degrees. Is it possible that I am overly concerned about my child's well-being? Maybe. But, once again, it's a good fan that's also very quiet.
This summer, I was so excited to use it in my daughter's room, which has no a/c or air circulation and is hot and stuffy. I didn't even have a chance to turn on the air conditioning before the fan stopped working. It was my first time using it, and I had it on for about an hour. This was a significant investment for me, and it was not a frivolous purchase. My child required it, so I purchased it. I can't believe this happened after reading so many positive reviews. I'm so disappointed; I'm so disappointed. 😔.
