In my area, it is normal for day-to-day humidity to range between 80 and 90 percent. When you plug the included plastic tube into the drain, the AC will drain the unit automatically, which you can then deposit in a box if you choose. The way I did it was to build a sealed opening in my home so that water would leak outside and I wouldn't The tray could be used, but I am unsure of how often you would need to rid the water since I didn't even think about considering A central air conditioner should be used to relax rather than to overwork a person constantly.
For a limited amount of time (about a couple of weeks, IIRC), you can return it to Amazon. It can only be returned if it is defective otherwise, you must pay about $40 for return shipping.

My decision to purchase that air cooler was a mistake and I wish I had ordered this AC Because I work night shifts and sleep during the daytime, this unit helped me maintain a comfortable temperature in my bedroom by cooling it down when it was hot. It has been a heat wave, if you want to call it that, here in my state with an average temperature of 95 degrees, and that has kept my bedroom comfortable and cool for quite some time now. Having read some of the negative reviews about its cooling capabilities, however, all I can say is that you should read our review about this unit's ability to cool. Unless I have the manual in front of me, it states it can cool a room 200 square feet. If it's any larger than that, it might not be able to do exactly what you want. While other reviews complain about installing difficulties, I had no issues at all. My large side window has a widow kit (also from Amazon) that's basically Velcro strips that you attach to your window and frame and attach zippered material that fills in behind the two and you unzip it where you would like the exhaust to vent out of. Genius! Considering that I do not live in a humid state, I cannot say how often it fills up with water, but the manual states that it should not frequently do so? I am sure that depends on where you live, but I do not think we will have to deal with that, although it seemed to be another complaint about the The couple who we have owned for a few days have not complained so far. I find this device very easy to set up, it cools my room perfectly, and it is far quieter than air conditioners. Although my TV is set at the highest fan speed, I can still hear it. This unit can also be used to heat my room in the winter, so I can use it all year round! Unless you are sure it can cool your room, I don't think you will be disappointed. And just to keep you up to date I've been using it for awhile and it works fine! The room gets a real boost when this comes on! There are many ways to vent cold air to either the outside or another room, all you need to do is find a place to place the vent. My unit has a vent point downstairs, and it works perfectly. This unit is really worth every penny I paid for it.
The pros are Please note
There is cool/cold air coming out of the vent. The following cons Please note
If you have negative pressure caused by your unit, warm air will be sucked into the house through cracks in your windows and doors
- It's noisy! - Despite the low energy expenditure, this AC is still inefficient compared to a window unit. Despite the vent attachment, not all windows are compatible with it
Summary An AC like this is the perfect addition to my tiny apartment in New York. My apartment looked fantastic, but within a few hours it hardly cooled. While I loved that the air blowing out of the vent was cold, I was a little frustrated that it did not at all cool my apartment. As part of my investigation, I checked the vent to make sure it was secure, and looked for other problems that might be causing it. When I realized this, I was convinced there was a design flaw in the unit. As the unit rests on the floor of your home, it suckers in air through its back. During these cycles, the hose blows a large amount of hot air out while the cooling air enters your home. Hot air is emitted through the hose solely to exhaust it. Why is this a problem? If the air isn't going outside, why is that a problem? In the long run, this AC pushes air from your house to the outside, so in your house a low pressure area is created. The result is that in order to compensate for the lower pressure, air will leak in from the outside through cracks in the windows, doors and wherever else it can get in. In addition to this unit, you will notice that there will be a lot more hot air in other rooms in the house! The air that has just been cooled is sucked up by the unit, which blows half of that air into the room's windows after it's already been cooled. This design is even more inefficient than the one above.
When I received this unit, it was working right away in the middle of a heat wave in July. However, the cooling was hard to adjust, the dehumidifying function was not working (something I could live without), and the heating function did not work at all in October. My warranty ran out on this unit on January 22, 2020. I tried from October 14, 2019 until November 20, 2019. There is a Black & White version of this book I sent an email and phone call to Decker, but didn't receive a response, and I was not even able to reach As a result of my frustration, I contacted AMAZON customer service once again. They explained the situation to me and are sending me another I shop on Amazon because it caters to my needs. Many thanks for your kind words. The B & B situation In the future, I will not purchase another of your products and I will not purchase a product with the name of the company on it, unless you can afford to throw it away if it stops working.
As long as the AC is run, the unit does not automatically turn off. I have a thermostat in a room that reads 68 degrees in order to test this. The A/C mode was set at 90 degrees, and the temperature was set on the unit. It makes no sense to keep blowing cold air if the unit is set to cool a room to 90 degrees, but it kept doing so despite the temperature already being 68 degrees. There was even a long waiting period for the system to realize it's colder than the desired temperature, but it was of no effect.
The adhesive tape is also definitely of no use. For a "mobile" unit that you might move from one window to another, it makes no sense at all to have the time use features. You have to peel up the tape slowly, so that it doesn't fall apart as you peel it off. Hence, if you don't mind residual residue and have extra sticky tape lying around, you may be able to use it. It is a shame to be that one-star reviewer and I think I may have just gotten a bad unit, but this product has left me rather bitter.
It includes everything my family needs and I'm so glad we chose The AC I chose was the one I had read alot of reviews about on Amazon and I have no regrets about it. I have a two bed room guest house, so it cools and heats well. I have been using this product for a few months now and find it very comfortable, even in temperatures over 100 degrees. It's great to have the remote and it's great to have the air swing, too.
