There is a warning in the instructions not to have hard angles in the tube, so it can't be placed against the wall it has to be placed in the middle of the room to prevent excess heat. You will be able to pop off the exhaust pipe right off the window fixture if you move the unit at all. Its huge gaps let in light and air from outside, so it seems like the window fixture is letting in a lot of natural light. Because the hose is opaque, all of the light from the street is allowed to enter and it emits a bright glow, creating a soothing night light. In the morning, the light from the street wakes you up as well. This unit is so noisy that it cycles loudly every 5 minutes when set at the lowest temperature and was causing me to sleepless. There is only a thermostat on the unit that allows you to set it to 64 degrees, which isn't enough to cool the room. It seems as though the plastic on this unit picks up a lot of dust.
