Mine has been in my possession for quite some time now. When I vacuum, I vacuum the three white filters once a week. When I put new ones in, I mark the date on them. I'm changing mine today, but it's been a while since I did so. of 2019. This is an excellent appliance. My current one is working fine, and I'm going to order another for the back of my house, where my dogs and I both suffer from allergies. Every week, I swap out the pre-filter. I hose it down and let it air dry once a week. This air purifier is not going to let you down.

Selected User Reviews For Honeywell HPA300 HEPA Air Purifier Extra-Large Room (465 sq. ft), Black
Horrible chemical/burning odor that persists whether on or off and hasn't gone away after 18 days of continuous use. I'm extremely disappointed that similar reviews have proven to be accurate. Is there a problem with the batch I got? I'm not willing to risk a replacement because defective goods are usually delivered in pallets. No, Honeywell, you're not going to be able to fix this. I'm also not going to pay for shipping to send it back to you for a replacement. Honestly made my asthma worse; this was supposed to help me deal with cigarette smokers in and around my apartment complex, but it had the opposite effect; it felt like a chemical spill was burning. It was even detected by my next-door neighbor. TERRIBLY TERRIBLY TERRIBLY TERRIBI It took me 18 days to figure out that it was the purifier that was the source of the problem. Sad. This is a huge disappointment after spending so much time researching units. br>br>Sending this back to Honeywell to honor their 5-year defect warranty would be prohibitively expensive; by the way, that warranty does not cover break downs caused by normal use, so what kind of warranty is that? Don't be fooled by the 5-year warranty; it's only for manufacturer defect. Especially when the bag is left in your possession in exchange for a $50 shipping fee.
The instructions for setting up the system are straightforward. Everything was taken out of its individual plastic wrap and put into place. as well as nothing There is no noise and no airflow when the light is turned on. Even with the Turbo button pressed, nothing happens. I've attempted to contact Honeywell 5 times - 3 times to their partner "Kaz" and 2 times to Honeywell. The first two calls to Kaz resulted in over 40 minutes of waiting on hold, with no one ever answering. That hold music irritates me greatly. I requested assistance from Honeywell. "Sorry, you'll need to call Kaz," the agent said. I'm sorry, but I'm not able to assist you. " So I tried Kaz again, and after 32 minutes on hold, I called Honeywell and had to request a supervisor (because the second Honeywell agent said, "I can't help you. "), and the supervisor is supposed to contact Kaz and have him call me back to troubleshoot and/or exchange for a working one. I'll update this review as the situation unfolds, but right now, after more than 70 minutes on hold, I'm kicking myself for making this purchase! br>br>**Update** The story just keeps getting worse and worse. "Yes, you're right," the Honewell supervisor said when I called back. The lines are long, and I was never able to reach Kaz before they closed for the day. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. "Unfortunately for her, I'd done some additional Kaz research since then. I inquired as to the unit's origins. Is it Honeywell or Kaz? Kaz, it turns out, isn't just a fan of this purifier; he's also a believer in it. It's the producer, too! Yes, that is correct! After reading some of the other 1 star reviews, I believe I was extremely fortunate to discover that this product is a POS before I was unable to return it. And, believe me when I say this: I'm going to return this dreck as soon as possible. DON'T BUY THIS! Do yourself a favor and don't buy it!.
These air purifiers still do a fantastic job of filtering the air in my house with regular maintenance and filter changes. I still have two cats at home, and my asthma has gotten a little worse as I've gotten older, but these Honeywell Hepa Air Filters continue to perform admirably! The replacement filters are reasonably priced, and even at the lowest setting, the machines operate virtually silently. To summarize, I am still very happy with my purchase four years later. Cheers! Tom F. Chicago, Illinois is located in the United States. br>br>Because of my chronic allergies and sinusitis, I have to use HEPA air filters in each room of my house. I've owned a lot of different units over the last 20 years, and almost all of them were made by Honeywell. While they all performed admirably in terms of basic functions, this unit is by far the best and quietest air filter I've ever owned. This air filter gets a lot of praise from Consumer Reports, and for good reason: it's the best and most affordable unit on the market right now. The unit is extremely easy to use and provides double filtration, with the extra thick charcoal filter coming first, followed by the extra thick HEPA filter. The air is drawn in from the front of the unit, where it passes through both filters before exiting through an air grate near the controls on the top of the unit. As a result, it's a great space saver that can go almost anywhere, particularly against a wall. Filtration is divided into four levels: 1) GERM, 2) GENERAL CLEAN, 3) ALLERGEN, and 4) TURBO. br>The first level GERM is virtually silent; I've never owned an air filter that is as quiet as this one - It's the ideal volume for when you're watching a film. 2) is a pleasant white noise that is barely audible but provides a lot of filtering. The third and fourth levels provide superior air flow and are significantly quieter than my previous Honeywell filters. While I still have several Honeywell filters and use them on a daily basis throughout my house, I plan to replace them with this unit as soon as my budget allows. When I was looking for this air filter, I compared it to similar units that cost up to $600. I needed an air filter that provided excellent filtration while also being quiet enough to be used in my home theater room on a daily basis. After examining nearly 20 different units and brands in the $200-$400 range, I've decided on the following. The price, the basic method of filtration, the very cool control panel, the fact that I could place the unit against a wall, the convenient size of the unit, and finally my positive experience with Honeywell products over the past 20 years won me over to this Honeywell unit. In the end, I'm very happy with my purchase and would strongly recommend it. Finally, unlike my previous Honeywell units, the control panel's ability to turn off the blue light is a welcome upgrade. Honeywell, we appreciate your support. Amazon!.
