This is a unique product that I'm using to remove the musty odor from my record collection. If you don't use the ozone generator properly, it can be very dangerous. There should be no one in the vicinity of the unit while it is operating. I use it in a closed room with my records for short periods of time, then open the balcony door to let the room air out. It is important to be aware of the potential harm to one's lungs. br>Now for the good news: after two twenty-minute sessions separated by a day, the albums have almost no odor, so I'd say my experiment was a success. br>As long as I keep in mind that ozone is dangerous, everything will be fine. Yes, I would recommend it to someone who has thoroughly investigated the product and its capabilities.

BEFORE YOU TURN ON THE OZONATOR, DO YOUR RESEARCH AND LEARN HOW TO USE IT SAFELY. Okay, that's all I have to say on the subject. I had to say that first because I don't see it stated clearly or frequently enough in product descriptions, online videos, reviews, and other places. Now for my review: Yes, it's a fantastic machine that performs admirably and is completely safe when properly used. I was aware that ozonators are used by car detailers, but I had no idea how they work. I'm not going to re-type all of that information because it's already available online. Describe the science and how it applies to your situation. tos. I looked into using one in a home I purchased that had a strong cigarette smoke odor, and there are a lot of articles and videos online about how effective these machines are and how to set them up. I gambled on this machine, and it paid off handsomely - It did a fantastic job of getting rid of the smell of stale cigarette smoke. I used an outlet timer, set it for 6 hours, turned on the ozone generator, double-checked that I had everything I needed and placed it outside the front door, then turned on the timer and exited that door. There are a number of them, about 8 in total. The foul odors were eliminated after ten treatments. Because this is a small machine, I went through each room and area one at a time, closing doors as I went. I was so impressed with the results that I've used the same methods with this generator in my own home, cars, and motorhome to effectively remove any unpleasant odors from cooking, pets, teenagers, camping, and other sources. The ozone smells like bleach at first, but after treatment and some airing out, it fades to just a fresh, clean smell, and then to none. Some people dislike it, but I enjoy the smell, which lasts only a day or two depending on how much you air it out. The stronger the initial bleach smell will be, the more concentrated the treatment is (by limiting the treatment area) and the longer it runs. This machine has a sturdy metal housing, is light and portable, and has proven to be reliable. Again, I didn't know much about these generators before, but I can now confidently say that this one is a steal. In the short time I've had it, it's taken a beating, and even if it died tomorrow, I'd still have gotten my money's worth. I'd like to purchase a second one so that I can work in more open spaces.

My husband and I bought a car that had been previously owned by a chain smoker. We bought the car because it was a good deal and we figured it wouldn't be too difficult to get rid of the odor. What we discovered was that the odor was far more potent than we had anticipated. We couldn't get in or out of the car without our clothes and hair smelling like a cigarette. When we attempted to drive the car, the smell gave us a headache. When we parked it in the attached garage one night, the entire house smelled like cigarette smoke when we awoke the next morning. I shampooed the carpet, attempted to clean the headliner, and thoroughly cleaned the vehicle. We used the air neutralizer to spray into the vent intake under the hood of the car, as well as the scented car foggers. Nothing seemed to be able to get rid of the odor. An ozone generator, according to my husband, is a good idea. Pep Boys does this for $60 for 3 hours, and while I considered going there, I knew we'd need more than 3 hours, so we bought this machine. It took several 2 hour cycles to get the smell out, but it got better and better each time. The car now has a clean smell rather than a smoke smell after a week of doing it every day. We can now finally enjoy the vehicle we purchased. This is a product that I would recommend to everyone. I've used it for odors that aren't as strong or offensive, and it usually cleans the air in one cycle. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

I had my doubts about how well one of these would work out. I moved into a townhouse that had previously been smoked in by the previous tenants. They were painting and doing repairs when I went to look at it, so the smell was hidden. I assumed I was out of luck and would be stuck with my filthy apartment for the remainder of my lease. I tried a few things, such as wiping surfaces with vinegar and putting baking soda on the carpet (both of which were effective), but the odor lingered. Because the ducts were just filled, it smelled even worse when I turned on the air conditioning. br>br>When I looked up ways to get rid of smoke odors on the internet, I came across ozone generators. There have been mixed reviews, with many people claiming that they do not work. I'm glad I took a chance and purchased this product because I noticed a difference almost immediately. I'd shut all the windows, turn on the furnace/air conditioner's fan, and start this thing next to it. Every day that I went to work for about a month, I did this. When I left for the day, I started rotating it into various rooms. It was a small but noticeable step forward. The odor of smoke had mostly vanished after a few weeks. My townhouse is about 1200 square feet, so the 5000mg unit was plenty. br>br>When they say "remove all living matter," they aren't kidding. I left a succulent in my kitchen unattended one day, and it promptly died. When you're at home, turn it off and let your apartment air out before entering; it leaves a lingering odor that reminds me of bleach. After you've used it, open your windows and the ozone smell will dissipate within a few hours.
