In an Ashley recliner, I placed this. The most difficult part of the job was simply turning the chair over and getting it upright again. On the product page, there are pictures and a video that are useful. Just keep in mind to measure and order the proper handle and cable sizes. I only had to unscrew two screws from the handle, pop out the clip that held the cable to the metal frame, and slide out the cable's end. Before ordering a replacement, I removed the cable assembly and measured it. I only wish I had used a piece of tape to mark where the cable's end is inserted, because when it finally arrived and I went to replace it, it took several minutes of scanning to find it.
This item was discovered on YouTube as a fix for my broken reclining sofa.
