My husband is 6'3", 245 pounds, and weighs in at 245 pounds. We put it at the bottom of our chair, close to the ground. I'm not sure what the exact weight limit is.
Yes & No, it's two pieces joined together by a bearing. both have bolts on them
Mine was a fraction of the size of this 6. 25" as well, but due to the slotted openings, it worked perfectly for me. I hope it works for you as well. The swivel plate is of good quality.

This replacement swivel is ideal! I found two inexpensive swivel bar chairs on Facebook Marketplace. They were wobbly as well as swiveling too quickly. After inspecting the mechanism, I discovered a plastic component in each chair's bearings that had broken. So I went to Amazon to look for replacement swivel parts for chairs, and presto! There were several options presented to me. I took measurements of the old mechanism and was able to select the most appropriate replacement. This part received a lot of positive feedback, and it was also eligible for a free return. Why not give it a shot, I reasoned. I'm so glad I took the chance. It was a simple swap that only necessitated the use of an allen key. The chairs have become silky smooth. There will be no swaying any longer! At the same time, I purchased chair seat covers, which completely transformed my chairs!.
This is a direct replacement that works perfectly and swivels smoothly with no problems. Note that the swivel may feel a little tight in your hands, but it is perfect for the bar stool. This one cost a little more than comparable units, but it arrived two days sooner. I had guests coming over and didn't want to be without my bar stool, so the faster availability was ideal. If I needed something else, I would buy it again.
There are a LOT more ball barrings on these than there are on the. Two of them were purchased. The ball barrings were falling out of one of the older swivel mechanisms because it had become too loose. I decided to replace both because the other was approaching that point as well. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. br>br>These have a LOT more ball barrings than the originals that came with the two tall swivel kitchen chairs I bought nearly 15 years ago. Despite the fact that one of the swivel mechanisms is more difficult to spin than the other, I'm confident that after some practice, they'll both spin equally well. The first thing I did was spin them both by hand to check for smoothness and to evenly distribute the internal grease on the ball barrings. They have a lot of grease in them, especially the older ones. I have no idea how much grease the new ones contain. br>br>I'll let you know if anything goes wrong with them in the near future.
The swivel plate on a cheap Walmart bar stool was replaced with this unit. The plate that didn't work had an 8-inch diameter. The new MySit plate had around 30-ball bearings and a thin piece of plastic to add support. Much smoother with 50 ball bearings and swivels. Please see the attached photos. The photo with the consecutive ball bearings is from MySit, and the bearing with the fewer numbers is the low-cost original. I'd buy these again if I had the money.
It's a lot more durable than the one that came with my designer leather chair. A solid ring of ball bearings with a lubricant that allows them to roll neatly while not being a material that can leak in the slightest. For my application, the angled screw openings in the plate could have gone a little further to the edge, but it worked fine, and I bought another to replace one on another identical chair. The one that came with my chair originally only had a few ball bearings and was made of some sort of inferior material that failed miserably. Don't hold your breath for a problem to arise right now!.
The old and shaky is transformed into something new, solid, and smooth.
For our home's countertop, we purchased two used bar stools, one of which was a little too wobbly for us. I looked through the options and found one with slots that matched the chair fasteners. As a test, I ordered one and had it installed in less than five minutes. I'm going to get a second one for the other chair because it's so much more solid than the one it replaced.
We recently purchased several swiveling barstools from various manufacturers, but the swivel bases that came with them were far too stiff (i. e. , they would not be able to rotate easily or smoothly without exerting excessive force to do so). The problem was instantly solved with these swivel bases! They're the ideal size and have just the right amount of low-key style. a swivel of energy They're also made of'real' stainless steel ball bearings. bearing construction, which outperforms the original swivel bases by a long shot.
