Replace the footrest handle on your recliner chair

The new handle and cables arrived in excellent condition. The packaging is very sturdy. I didn't have to thread the cable through the chair because only the handle part was snapped where you lift the lever to release the footrest; however, getting the original cable off the attached handle was a little difficult, and then putting the new handle on the old cable was also not a perfect fit; I had to file down the opening for the cable line a few times until the cable fit down into the slot. Aside from that, it was incredibly simple to replace and it now functions perfectly. I couldn't replace the cable because the line runs behind the chair's gears and there's no way to get my fingers back there to unhinge the springs if I had to. That would necessitate a significant amount of time and effort.
