I put in new batteries. In the beginning, I tried to move the chairs by pressing the buttons, but it took over a minute and was so slow that I removed the cord and plugged it in and laid a rug on top of If you expect it to perform like a cord, do not get it.

I plugged it right in and it worked right away. It was the perfect replacement for my lift chair at a good price. It was higher voltage than the original, but that wasn't a problem. Connect the cable to the electrical outlet before plugging it into the chair.
