Questions & Answers

My extension has vanished, and I'm not sure if it was number three or not. 75"or 4. 25". It's a homcom vibrating recliner that you're looking at. Which do you think I should get?

If you know your recliner's model number, you can ask the manufacturer for the proper length. Or do you want to order both lengths and then return the one you don't need?

I have a Lane sofa that is ten years old and has recliners on both ends. The size of the handle is approximately 4 x 2 3/4 inches. Is this going to work?

The first step is to remove your current handle. The cable will still be used to connect it. The outside measurement is 4 inches. 5/8" tall by 2" wide The inside depth is 1 inch and the width is 5/8 inch. 1/4". This is screwed into a hard plastic housing, which is also made of plywood. They include two sets of screw holes--one for each set of screws--and one for each set of If you need to drill holes in the plastic, use a 5/32 drill bit. To get it to sit flush, I had to use a Dremel to cut away some of the existing plastic housing. Keep in mind that the actual unit is recessed, and the measurements listed above are for the fabric overlap. These should be included in the standard inventory. All you have to do now is wait and change both of them. It took me one minute to complete. Due to the confined workspace and the need to cut the plastic into small pieces, it took half an hour.

I see two handles in the photo, and it says two pieces, so is this for two handles? I just wanted to double-check before placing an order. Thanks. ?

Yes, it came in two pieces for me.

There are recliners on both ends of my catnapper couch. Is it going to work?

If it appears to be the same, it will be an upgrade. The metal is a tenfold improvement over the plastic that came with it. You are going to adore them. Pull-out handles are what they're called.

I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY WITH THIS ITEM! Why do furniture manufacturers put plastic latches on obscenely expensive couches? About a year ago, one of our couch's plastic latches completely broke in half, rendering it useless
5/5

As a result, we were only able to use one of the reclining sides of the couch we had spent so much money on. We considered contacting the furniture company to schedule a repair, but we didn't want to pay the exorbitant cost that would entail. Fortunately, I came across this item on Amazon! What a deal, two metal replacement latches for the price of one plastic latch. I wasn't sure they'd fit our couch, but for the price, I figured it was worth a shot, and if they didn't, Amazon has a simple return policy. It took less than 5 minutes to repair, and it now works perfectly! The metal latches should not break, so it's actually better than new! Thank you so much for making this product available to us!!.

Time is of the essence
5/5

First and foremost, measure! Our Bob's Discount Furniture Recliner Sofa has given us a lot of trouble. The recliner cable had snapped at the pull lever, which was the most recent issue. Following some research, it became clear that measuring the old cable would be crucial. I flipped the sofa over and unplugged the cable. br>br> I photographed the mechanism so that I could figure out where to put the replacement. Two key features are highlighted by red arrows. Make sure the new cable has the same clip and hook as the old one. Mine had a Z hook at the end, as well as a plastic retaining clip that was identical to this product. The metal lever and housing were identical as well. br> SCORE! br>br>It was simple to take out the old cable and lever. The new set was easy to set up. Simply retrace your steps in the opposite direction. br>br>This replacement lever and cable have performed admirably thus far. There should be no issues, in my opinion. If I do, I'll make a note of it in this review. I just wanted to put this out there to remind people to measure their existing hardware before ordering. As a result, the transaction was a breeze. I'm really happy with the outcome.

If you follow these steps, it will be a simple replacement
5/5

I purchased some secondhand items. I bought this replacement part (after finding the right size and handle shape - see below) after discovering that the plastic recliner handle breaks over time, as has happened to many others. Take a close look). This one is entirely made of metal and is in excellent working order. Others stated that holes had to be drilled - My set came with two sets of holes, presumably because screws are used in a variety of locations depending on the furniture. It was a simple replacement. Simply unscrew the old handle, remove it, and connect the cable to the new handle before screwing it in place. A piece of advice: 1) Pay attention to the angle of the screws when removing the handle. When you screw it back in, it's difficult to see the holes. They're blocked by the fabric, so if you know how they came out, screwing them back in won't be a problem. 2) DO NOT LET THE CABLE GO ONCE IT HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM THE OLD HANDLE - It will pull itself into your arm, and you will have a difficult time removing it. A cable was included with my replacement handle - Before attempting to replace the handle, you should first remove it. Also - The cable is held to the handle by a small wire clip. simple to overlook - Remove it before yanking on the cable. In any case - It's a simple swap out. The new handle appears to be more user-friendly than the old one!.

Sectionals from Samsclub are a perfect match! One of the recliner handles on the right side of my sofa broke off this week, and the tab literally broke in half
5/5

I contacted the manufacturer (Abbysonliving) to inquire about ordering another, but they did not respond. . . at least not promptly. When they did, it was an ineffective and unhelpful automatic response. br>br>So I went on a search and discovered these. . . and I'm so glad I did. These are a perfect fit, except they're made of metal rather than plastic, making them a far superior product to what came with the sofa set in the first place. br>br>After looking around, I discovered that these are the same pull levers that can be found on nearly every sectional on Samsclub's website, including Samsclub's Member Mark, Abbyson Living, Matthew, Samuel, and Theodor. (Which, after further investigation, I believe all those'manufactures' are just samsclubs' names to make it appear as if there are options. ) )br>br>I'm not sure why these 2-piece leather sofa sets are so expensive. They don't use these metal ones in the first place because they cost $3000 a set? In my opinion, this is an odd place to save money. br>br>In any case, it fits perfectly and only takes about 30-45 minutes. All you need is a Philips screw driver to install it in 60 seconds. br>Just to be clear, this is only the handles; there is no cable. It was delivered quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Simple to set up
5/5

When I read someone's comment that it took the 2. , I must admit I was a little concerned. It will take 5 hours to change. Fortunately, I had prepared myself by watching a YouTube video. I was able to complete the installation while my husband took a shower and before Amazon texted me to confirm delivery. The most difficult part was recovering the canle from the recliner after I dropped it. Thank goodness my adolescent daughter's arms aren't too long. The following one is going to be even simpler. The metal handle, hopefully, will outlast the couch. The one made of plastic lasted about nine years.
