Questions & Answers

What are the chances of this adapter working for any brand of office chair?

There's no doubt about it. A generic office chair I got from STAPLES proved to be a perfect fit. This was a profit I got because I designed an office desk that was around 7 feet long The height of an office desk should be increased by 8 inches.

The setup looks like it will fit 2" diameter columns or 1" columns. Can you tell me how many inches the columns are?

It appears to be two inches.

Do you think it will work with the "gamers" ?

'Gamer chairs' differ only in the way they have their seats configured (higher backrests, adjustable arms, etc.) so as long as the base is similar to one of a standard office chair, it should be OK. In that the extenders are graduated from a diameter of two inches to one inch, they are tapered in width. It is 5". Therefore, the short answer to a long question is yes, it should work. Hope you have a good day!

Could I get a foot rest without the extenders?

It is optional, however, to use a foot rest. If you don't want to use that part during assembly, you can omit it.

You may be able to buy a drafting chair for a lot less
5/5

For example, if the seat of your office chair is a 2" cylinder that tapers into a 5 With this extension kit you will be able to extend your starbase. You will need to use a sand hammer to knock the cylinder, which is wedged just in the center of the 5" hole, out. An outgrowth of a star You will then need to insert the tapered end of either the 12" or the 9" into the 5-inch This base is made up of a star. To use the 12" or 9" extension, move the foot rest and bushing together. You can apply pressure with the tension knob (a set screw) to secure the foot rest at the desired height by applying pressure to the bushing (which covers the cylinder). The foot rest has been criticized as being unsecure by some reviewers There may be a slit in the bushing that allows the set screw to contact the cylinder directly, so either they omitted the bushing or else the set screw is directly touching the cylinder. As a final step, insert the tapered end of the original cylinder (with the seat attached to one end) into the non-tapered end of the non-tapered cylinder. The cylinder end of the new 12"/9" size is tapered. As you can see in the pictures, the parts from the kit are indicated by red arrows. It is the cylinder from the original chair that you see in the image. In the second photo, we see the bushing being compressed by the tension knob, rather than directly applying pressure to the.

This kit is awesome! The Bowery Chair is designed by Laura Davidson
5/5

It is a great tool if you need to raise the height of your standard chair to the level of There are two height extenders to choose from, which is the best thing. The gas cylinder that comes with your chair is not included with the extenders, but you can place them on top of it. Additionally, the stool foot rest has a ring feature that is very nice. At first I was just planning on getting a longer gas cylinder—but the gas cylinder turned out to be too short A ring could not be found Nevertheless, I am glad I purchased this kit instead, since the stool ring is quite useful, even for someone as tall as I am (6'). At first, I did not anticipate it would be useful. It turns out, once you take a seat at a higher setting, the ring acts as a great foot rest and keeps your legs from going numb while you are seated. Note, however, that there is one thing to be aware of when it comes to the foot rest/ring assembly. The plastic bushing should be used in the box. Otherwise, it is possible to damage the extender when you tighten it (without the bushing). You can see what I mean by looking at my pictures. It didn't even occur to me to look for the bushing in the box since the instructions don't mention it. It was not until after I had disassembled the chair and was breaking down the box that I discovered it. In order to install the bushing, slide it on during assembly. Otherwise, you'll need to separate the extender from the base once again, remove the ring, then reassemble the extender. The ring appears to be fairly sturdy and firm aside from that. My risk in purchasing this was that it might not have worked with the Laura Davidson Bowery Collection chair I had just bought. Despite the fact that they have drafting height chairs, there is no drafting version of the Bowery Chair (inspired by the Herman Miller Sayl chair), which was my top request. It's good that the stool kit was so easy to use! If you were wondering if it is possible to convert your Bowery chair into a drafting chair height, trust me, it can be done. You may even be able to use one of the original Sayls. *I've posted a few pictures of the bushings and how they look without using it, as well as a general photo of the reassembled kit.

It extends the height of the bed! This kit is fantastic! I am so pleased with it! When I purchased the Sadie Swivel Mid Back Mesh Task (with the intention of using it at a standing height desk, it didn't quite fit
5/5

It was a quick fix! I bought the lift kit hoping it would be a quick fix. Following the recommendation of earlier reviewers, I used a hammer to take the gas cylinder out of the base from the bottom. I hit it around the edges a few times, and it immediately came opted for the taller extension cylinder, and now it fits almost perfectly under my desk. As I got the item, I had a little difficulty picturing it done because I couldn't visualize how to put it together for myself. I am including some photos and the directions of how to do it now. I'm not at all concerned about falling out or collapsing because the seat wobbles a bit, but not enough to worry about falling off. It seems to be going well!.

The chair of your choice can be used as a drafting high What this product said it would do is exactly what it does
4/5

A star is taken away because of the price, which is about $15 too high in my opinion. As for the ring, it is completely useless, however aesthetically speaking, it does make the chair look good. I had no problem mounting it to my new Staples chair, and everything fits snugly and perfectly. My solution was to place a small stool under my desk so I could rest my feet. Secondly, I had previously purchased a drafting chair which did not come with a ring. The ring on that chair was useless as well, so maybe I shouldn't blame this product. In theory, you could pick any chair you want and combine it with this product. Seeing as it comes with two extenders, it is quite versatile. It is a 12-member group I only had to raise and lower my chair once but now I need to raise and lower it only once. My chair is perfect now and even the extender works perfectly. Additionally, I tried the 5-inch riser and that worked perfectly, too. I just had to raise my chair a It wobbles a little when the hydraulic is raised on the chair I have. It just so happened to work out great for me to use the taller extension to eliminate the wobbling. Using this product alone didn't cause the product to wobble. There had to be some problem with As far as I can tell, if you need to raise the height of two chairs, this product would work just fine allthough one chair would be devoid of the footring, which is useless but aesthetically appealing. Videos are available on YouTube as to how you can remove things, and I can tell you I was able to do it without trouble. In spite of using the sledgehammer instead of the regular hammer, I was able to obtain the 5-inch hole The tube was taken out and a 12-inch tube was added The tube is one inch in diameter. After the second time, I lubricated the ends with some WD-40 Then I cleaned the lines with a cloth, so that if I ever had to disassemble them again they would be easier to do. I do not expect any major issues, however I will update this review if there are any in the future.
