I found the Dream On Me Rocking Cradle, read the reviews and decided that this was the one for me. Since I've had at least one other child in the past, this isn't my first This sleeper and play pen that attaches to the bed, while it appears great on the outside, was too large and bulky for me. I never used it as a playpen when it was no longer a bassinet, so for me it was a waste of money. I am only going to need this cradle for a few months, so it fits my needs perfectly. It's been assembled already, it sits at a good height to our bed for grabbing baby in the middle of the night, and it's nice and sturdy. You may want to buy a different mattress pad, as this one is too thin and flimsy, and you really need something thick and firm for a new born. Breathable Baby also sells mesh crib liners out of which I bought one for my portable crib and one for my cradle crib, which fits perfectly so I don't have to worry about little limbs getting caught With just a couple of cradle sheets from Sheet World, I'm ready to welcome my little one! It is definitely something I will keep for when I'm finished to pass on to another mom or if we decide to have another at a later date.
It is beautifully made, excellent finishes and the color is perfect. The crib is exactly what we were looking for to be able to put our babies down for the first few months before they moved into their own room. It takes only a few minutes This appears to be sturdy, but I am going to have my husband replace the manufactured wood mattress support board with real wood later. My original mattress was very thin, so I purchased a replacement mattress on Amazon here that is 18x36 but is about 1 inch thick. The thickest part of the slab is 75 inches It is much better and firmer than the old mattress. I think it should have a better mattress for the price, or else I would give it a 5 star rating. As for the cherry finish, I got it. It's a beautiful piece of traditional furniture and looks good in my house.
As for the actual cradle itself, it's very beautiful and very easy to put together. There is very little weight to it. Despite being 8 months pregnant, I was able to lift the object without too much difficulty. The only complaint I have is that the packaging came damaged, as you can see how the box was damaged right where it says "HANDLE WITH CARE". Additionally, the product itself was damaged through the box. There was a broken board along the upper edge of the board that supports the baby, but fortunately it doesn't seem to be a huge deal after we put it My disappointment continues as I spent a little over $100 for a product that was faulty. looks very sturdy to me, but I guess we'll only know for sure once our little one is in it for the first time to be sure.
Update As well, it would be nice to add a comment about the warning label mentioned in a few reviews. Several people alleged that the huge warning label was an eyesore, but I honestly had no issue with it being removed. I did not get any cradle damage, and there was no stick-to-cradle residue. We were able to get everything done smoothly and easily.
This is a great option for parents who believe it is too early for separating their babies from their rooms. Despite its small size, this cradle does not obstruct the view of my son from the bed, I can easily reach it and rock him. I found it to be easy to assemble, and there was no smell when we opened the package. With no wheels, you can move easily on the carpet. I like the design a lot! The only thing is, be very careful when you walk near the cradle. I was scratched on the bottom of the cradle and it hurt! There is a problem with the mattress that came with it. It's way too soft. The extra mattress has just been purchased as it was suggested by others. I was very pleased with how it turned out! When my son turns 4 years old, I would like to move him into his own room I think he will be here for 6 months, if he stays for that long. I really liked the quality of the cradle as well!.
I just received this today and put it together. An open box was purchased for just $36 and it was a great find! While I was eight months pregnant, I was able to put it together easily. This rocking chair has the ability to rock as well as be stationary, and it's a great size, but still light to move around. The intention is to get baby to sleep by us in this and I will rock her to sleep while I am half asleep during After reading reviews of other mattresses, I decided to purchase one that was more substantial. I like the Colgate cradle mattress and it seems at first glance to My baby is sleeping on a flat surface which prevents his head from flattening and making him more prone to torticollis. As you can see, the bottom of the cradle is a super thin, firm cardboard We cut some plywood to the same shape and screwed it in to make it durable so it would be safe for kids. But if you have young children and try to sit on it, it won't last.
It was relatively easy to assemble, except that there weren't enough screws included. Two of the original three are now missing, and there are As you are likely to crack the wood if you tighten these screws as tightly as possible, I understand that you should not do so. Yet these screws keep falling out and going missing even after I screw them in really tight. The cradle I intend to use for my child will not be half-built. They don't work because the legs that stop the cradle from rolling don't function. You won't lose a toe in the middle of the night unless you want to. You can either do this or not.
