As it's a pretty sturdy stool, I think it will be able to hold an adult, especially if you plan to use it to sit while you bathe your baby.
The product does have 4 rubber corners on each curved side, but they don't seem flush with the plastic, they're a little out of place. No one of our tile floors have been scratched by it.

I love it! With this step stool, you can easily get up and down Sturdy and light but heavy in weight. Our bathroom is small, so this works great as a step for our kids to potty train on and wash their hands. It's also wide and sturdy, so kids can use it for cleaning their hands as well.
