You can use We have a step ladder or stool on every floor of the house, but this one lives in the kitchen and is used the most. If my hands are full of dishes or whatever else, it is easy for me to wiggle the dishwasher into position with my foot. As it has proved so easy to use, I have used my top and middle cabinets far more frequently than when I used other stools or ladders that I had to drag out and set up each time.
QUALITY It doesn't seem heavy to me (100 pounds), but I think a bigger person would find it sturdy. Like the stools we used to have in the library when we were kids, this one has a rubber base.
