The mattress must be a standard twin size. Rooms To Go Outlet sold the mattress I bought on sale, but I do not remember the brand. I suggest getting a good quality twin mattress in the early stages, then between three and five years later when they are ready for an average twin bed, you won't have to buy another one.

Having her own big girl bed is something my four year old is very excited about. Stunning and feminine, pale rose is a perfect choice for a little princess. Putting the unit together was not difficult. I found the instructions to be clear and simple. A half hour was needed for the bed to be completely assembled. The construction is well built and sturdy. I've seen it work as my daughter has jumped on the bed a few times. It's a quality bed with a lovely design, so I am very happy with it! In terms of children's products, Delta Children has taken over as one of my top choices.
The quality of this bed was disappointing even though it is much cuter than the bed I bought for my 2 year old. A bed can support up to 300 lbs, according to the description. I put my daughter to bed with my husband who is 185 pounds and leaned his knee on this bed, resulting in a crack in the wooden slat. Overall, the quality of the slats is poor. The hassle of removing the bed almost caused me to return it, but I decided not to. The quality and price of this product make me reluctant to recommend it on a personal level.
Beds like this are beautiful. The color is pretty and not too muted and it's soft. The model my daughter loves is only thirty minutes to set up and my husband is thankful that it took just that long.

The instructions and parts were so simple to follow, that putting it together myself took me less than 20 minutes (clear instructions, well-labelled parts). I was very pleased with the construction and the overall quality of the parts. In this case, a box spring underneath the mattress is not necessary because the wooden slats provide enough support. It looks like the upholstery is a dusty rose color, and the fabric is very soft. The mattress my 3-year-old loves is new, and I will no longer worry that she will get injured if she falls out of bed while sleeping.
I have finally transitioned my daughter out of her crib and into a real bed (yes, I was able to keep her in for so long because she just turned 2 and has never figured out how to crawl out). It's a big girl bed that she really likes, and it's a bed that I love as well. It's easy for her to get in and out of her bed on her own and she loves her independence. Also, it is really low to the ground, so I did not need to worry if she fell out of the bed if she would be hurt It took a little while for her to get used to being able to spread out and move around during the first few nights. The girl did end up on the floor for a few nights, but she was able to get up and go to I am so glad I bought this because it was such a great purchase.

Ideal for a 3 year old as his first bed. Our bed took about 30 minutes to assemble, and we had no trouble bringing it together. No problems have been encountered while I've been lying next to my daughter on it.
I'm not sure how long it took to put together, but it was only 30 minutes. There were no other complaints. The packaging was excellent, all of the pieces were clearly named, and all of My son sits on it for two hours a day and it is sturdy, except for the wood slats that felt like they would snap under the weight but I bought it for a 60 pound child so it will be fine.
