Because it's the lowest of the low, but my 1-year-old slept in it less than a month, and the next morning there was a huge chunk of wood missing from the rails. I'm talking about huge chunks that dogs could chew off easily. For perspective, he is 1 and has 6 teeth, so the wood is way too soft and practically fell apart. For the sake of comparison, the piece that is gone is about 4" long and half an inch deep. It only took him one day to do it.

Although this crib has been fantastic and a great price, we have now upgraded to a toddler bed and I must confess that the toddler bed isn't at all A rail is included with the crib in place of the slats, but as you can see in the pictures, the rail does not fully complete the crib's "convertible toddler bed" feature because the extra rail is not actually secured into the crib. Although I have not had complaints about the crib itself, it would be nice to provide this information to people who may have misconceptions about it.
The crib was in a damaged state when it arrived, but we love the design. The same crib had been purchased from Target earlier in the year and As our next child will need a second one, we wanted to make sure that it matched the first one, and we could find it for a little less on Amazon than at It was splintered and had very sharp/rough edges, and some large splinters had been gouged out of it. I do not recommend this for a baby at all. It looks nice and works well however, if you want to return it, you should be prepared. As a result of continuing issues with merchandise arriving damaged, I have stopped ordering furniture from Amazon any longer. Although this crib is great, you may want to buy it.
This is a great pair of twin pants I got in natural for my twins and they are incredibly cute As for me, it took me roughly 2 hours to put the table together, give or take, but if I had not not had to stop periodically to tend to my baby, it would have taken me less time. Despite the fact that everything was packaged super safely, all parts were present and Normally I do not give advice to people, but I thought I would, so for the love of all that is good and holy, I suggest that you get someone to help you install the metal spring support. I like the way this crib looks. There's a lot of garbage in that pile. It is so easy for the paint to chip off! The toddler rail hasn't even been used yet when it was pulled out of storage, the paint has already started peeling I'm amazed at how well constructed this crib is. I decided on a new crib because we're moving and wanted a new look but didn't want to spend a lot of money since we already have a crib that works perfectly. The crib I got was far better than expected! I'm glad I didn't go over budget on some basic Target crib. The shipping was slow, but since we had Prime 2 day delivery, we were spoiled.
