I'm not sure how thick the mils are, but they're thick. It's a far cry from the mattress we got with our bed 30 years ago. If the blater leaks, I have no worries about a catastrophe.
My side rails and foot rail both fit over the liner, but my foot rail does not. It will depend on how tightly yours fit your frame and whether or not there is enough room.
For my case, it does. yes.
I'm sure you could use this liner as an air mattress liner, but I'm not sure what you're hoping to accomplish with it. I hope this was of assistance!

My old one had holes in the corners and couldn't keep a leak from escaping. This one is made of much thicker vinyl, so it should last a lot longer. I was worried it wouldn't fit in my 8 1/2" tall bed frame because the description said it was 9" tall, but the stiffened in it was only 8" tall, so I was able to scrunch it down at the bottom and get it to fit. It was a good idea to tape the top in place while filling the waterbed, as someone suggested. I was initially concerned because there appeared to be air in the sides of the liner, causing it to bubble at the top as I filled it, but this went away after a few days. One of my favorite features of this liner is that it has a rubbery texture that keeps my sheets tucked in place.
When the heater in my waterbed broke, I decided to embark on this adventure. On Amazon, I placed an order for a new one. Then, after draining the bed, I noticed that the liner I had purchased years ago from Wal Mart had holes in it, so I ordered this liner. It's far superior to the one I had previously. The sides were held together with clear packaging tape. I realized it was much easier for me to do this after I made the bed. It has a gleaming appearance. slippery. The only drawback is that the bed's bottom always comes undone. Because it's slick, the top sheet and blanket come undone almost every night. I had to fix it four times one night until I started checking it every day. As a result, I've given it three stars out of five. After purchasing a new mattress, I have upgraded to a four-star rating because my sheets no longer untuck.
I've been sleeping in water beds since I was 12 years old. So I've seen a lot of liners come and go over the years. This is without a doubt the best lining I've ever seen. It is well-made and thick. When the need arises, I will undoubtedly purchase this product again.
We ended up selling the waterbed, so I don't know how long it lasted, but it was built well, and with a liner, the thicker the better is my recommendation. If you think you don't need one, think again. . . especially if your bed is on the second or third floor. As the temperature of the water and surrounding air fluctuates, it also collects the inevitable condensation from the waterbed. At the age of 30, I didn't have any issues with it back in 2013.
I had an old, messed-up liner. I had recently relocated and decided to purchase a new liner before reassembling the bed. It's a good thing I did because the bed had developed a few holes and was leaking during the move. This liner worked perfectly, and there was a pool of water in it, but there was no way to get below it. The only criticism I have is that the walls and side liner aren't particularly attractive. Because the walls aren't very sturdy, I recommend taping to the edge of the bed as you fill it. If you have a leak, the side liner, or side piece, has a crease on the bottom and isn't straight, so water sits in there and you have to find it to get it out.
This lining has exceeded my expectations. I wanted a good liner in case my waterbed leaked, and while it hasn't happened yet, the liner is thick enough to keep me safe. The liner sides will not stand up on their own, and I haven't seen one that does, so I wasn't expecting it to. While filling my waterbed, I used tape to keep it in place. I had to pull on the liner a few times while filling to keep it straight, but it didn't rip or give way. I think I made a good decision with this liner because the vinyl is fairly thick.
When the liner arrived several months ago, I immediately opened it up and was blown away. The new liner, on the other hand, was only installed today. There were no issues at all. To get started, someone recommended taping the sides in place. That is, in my opinion, the best course of action.
This is for my water bed, which has a hard surface. After 7 years of motionless spring a leak and I had the standard liner which worked to prevent a spill on the floor but a heavier liner makes sense but a heavier liner% It was disappointing to learn that it was manufactured in China rather than the United States.
