I received my order the day before yesterday. This was supposed to be a replacement for one that was about ten years old, but what I got was not the same. It's a lot lighter, and the stand-up sides aren't as strong as they used to be. The sides are only 7 inches high, not the advertised 9 inches. I ordered this one because my previous one had served me well for ten years. It also doesn't resemble the image at all. The numbers, on the other hand, match, leading me to believe it was mislabeled. br>Edit to include a photo of the label on the packaging The label on the left, indicating that it is a heavy duty liner, was overlaid on top of the original label, indicating that it is actually a (less expensive) premium liner, not the heavy duty liner I ordered and paid for. I've also contacted customer service to inform them that the sales page is incorrect.
Fits nicely inside my California King on the hard side (a little loose, but that's okay). The material is thick and appears to be resilient, so it should be able to withstand regular use and contain a leak if the mattress fails. I docked one star for the lack of cardboard on the sides to keep it from collapsing while filling the water mattress. The promotional images are extremely deceiving. Before I could even put the mattress back inside, I had to use tape, as you can see in the photos.
It is unable to stand on its own. It flops around until the bed is full enough to support it. It doesn't stand up straight, and the plastic gathers after the bed is filled, leaving permanent wrinkles. It's difficult to believe this is classified as "heavy duty. " I'm not looking forward to seeing the lighter weight version. I would have bought it if there had been another good option, but we needed to use the bed and there were few options available. There will be a limited selection of products unless waterbeds regain popularity. br>br> For many years, I wore a liner with a foam filling. The plastic was smooth and heavier than this, and it stood upright on its own. Unfortunately, everything degrades over time, and it does not appear to be manufactured any longer. I would have repaired the old one if I had the time; the new liners are flimsy, and I hope the bed never leaks. I have no faith in the efficacy of this liner.
The lining is of good quality, and it installs easily. Is there anything else you could want? Simply allow the vinyl liner to offgas chlorine along with your mattress to avoid having to deal with the odor and gas in your home.
This water bedliner was created in the image of a disabled person who could only use one arm; yes, it hurt, but so does moving an arm. I've never used a better liner than this one. Is it worthwhile to pay a little more for a higher-quality product? This liner is taller than any other I've ever had (that was too short). br> which I consider to be a positive aspect. In terms of size, it's exactly what the specs say it is.
This waterbed mattress liner is one of our favorites, and we think it's a great value for the high quality! It fits perfectly in our King Size waterbed and gives us peace of mind that if we ever have a leak, it will be well taken care of because it is so sturdy and well made.
We've had a waterbed for years, and it's always provided me with a restful night's sleep after back surgery. Our previous liners had a tendency to slide down and not stay in place around the frame. This one appears to have excellent walls, which are holding up well. It was also an excellent match. It arrived on time, and we were able to get a good night's sleep once more.
For the past 27 years, I've had a waterbed. I've never had a better liner. It is very sturdy and fits underneath the rails. I never have to pull on the bed when it's made because it stays put. It's fantastic, and I'll buy it again if I need it in the future. However, because it stays in place so well, I am confident that it will last a long time.
