We are both big girls, and my husband is a big guy too. As of now, everything seems to be going well. As a big girl and as an average guy, I weigh over 500 pounds. Also, my husband and I have two good size boys who sleep with us. There is also a very heavy memory foam mattress. My initial thought was that the wooden slats would not be able to hold me, but they did Until now, there haven't been any creaking or squeaking sounds and nothing has broken. I like the way it's built. Having slept on it for one night, it arrived yesterday, I set it up, and I have been sleeping on it. As of now, it is exactly what we have been looking for. I found assembly to be very straightforward and simple. The bed is well built, sturdy, and does not creak at all. I was immediately concerned, however, by the lack of information regarding the spacing of the slats. In the questions and answers, there are two different answers There is 3" of SPACE between the slats on this bed frame. The middle slat extends more than 3" out from the edge. Please look at the photo, we hope it will clear up any confusion.

As soon as I opened the box and took everything out, I was slightly concerned because there were no instructions or tools, but when I took everything apart, I discovered that the headboard piece had a zipper with a box inside that included the legs, the instructions, and two bolt things. When I put the bed together, the boards did not stay in place. I realized I had put the side pieces together in the wrong order. I had to take it apart again and put it together correctly. If you put it together correctly, it can be pretty impressive! It's funny (lol).

From a box spring, this is a huge upgrade. Platform beds like this one are a great buy for my husband and me. The mattress we use with the box springs we purchased to go with it is a high quality memory foam king mattress. A platform bed is a great improvement over a regular bed. It took me a long time to decide whether or not we would change from box springs to a platform bed, but I am so happy I did. a much more even support for the mattress than our separate box springs and we do not feel any valleys (although they were slight) in our bed any more. By doing so, we seem to have a more even and stable mattress. You just feel like you're sleeping on a new mattress. That has really made a difference to me. The room is super quiet so if I wake up to check on the baby (me), my husband and I don't wake each other with our Although I was concerned about the height being short in comparison to the box springs, it is actually not that low. It is the perfect height for turning around in bed and stepping directly out. It was not necessary to squat, as I thought it might be. Underneath there is space for boxes to be stored as well. In addition, I was worried I would hit my shin against the sides or the legs, but it fits the mattress perfectly and I have never even noticed Some platform beds extend past the mattress and that is a problem (I've seen it in some beds). A bed like this one does not have this problem. There are wooden slats on each side for a nice look, and my husband likes that there is a sticky tape you peel off when putting the mattress on top so it stays in place. I liked how easy it was to put together and how well it was made. It appears that some customers didn't notice the sticker on the side where the legs are hidden inside the car. Therefore the customer might not have realized the sticker was there? Could it be that the stickers weren't there or that the customers didn't know to look for them? Are the legs not already in the compartment or were they not intended to be in there? I don't know but we found them to be just fine. The outer material of the platform bed is a nice material and is padded, and this makes it safe for toddlers or adults' shins (though I doubt I'd actually hit it because it is so excellent). There is a lot of quality and it looks really expensive, and we are thrilled with what we chose. Having gotten it sooner would have allowed us to get more out of it. I would recommend it highly. A new update has been made to the report as of 3-17/17. Despite loving our platform bed and recommending it to friends and family, we continue to love it. The date for the update is March 30th, 2018. That bed is still one of my favorites. Though we have moved it around a few times to rearrange our room, it is still in perfect condition. As long as it stays in good shape, we'll be able to sleep well!.

Although this bed was relatively easy to assemble, having a second person would have made the process even easier. As soon as it is assembled, it is very sturdy. It can handle loads of heavy objects and intense operation with no problem at all!.
