This is trash salvage wood from someone's leftover project or something that has been stapled together using cheap children's craft ribbon that is shredded and falling apart. Several of the boards are literally splitting, the ribbon is frayed and about to break at any minute, and there are holes drilled in several of the boards with evidence that they were once screwed to something and are now being repurposed for this product. I'm all for recycling, but this is literal trash salvage wood from someone's leftover project or something that.
They were 39 inches long when we needed them to be 38 inches long. My husband was forced to go to a friend's house to have them sawed down, which was extremely inconvenient. But the end result is satisfactory; we wanted to remove the box spring from our 3-year-old's twin-size bed. It will take time to see if they hold up, but they appear to be quite durable.
This isn't ideal! The slat pack sags with my 115 pounds, so it's very flexible. On the bed, there is a girlfriend. To help distribute the weight, plywood was added on top. br>Do not make a purchase.
Although I did not require these, they appeared to be well-made and were simple to return.
These are just slats that have been nailed together. They are 1 1/2" wide and 3/8" thick, not as shown in the photo. These are prone to bending and don't provide adequate foundation support. If you really want to do it right, get metal slats with a center leg. This is not a good idea.
In his twin bed, it's perfect.
