Questions & Answers
You can choose between filtered or straight tap water with a 90degree ball valve on the side of the cup. This product works well and so far I haven't noticed any leaks or signs of wear after a month of heavy use.
My thanks go out to you for your answers to my questions. As it turns out, this is my third unit, and I've finally looked for an answer online. During the five years that I had the equipment, I bought three units and put up with the red flashing light thinking the devices were defective. I imagine that too many devices are sent to landfills too early.
TDS pen was used and I noticed a significant reduction in the water's turbidity
Thanks for visiting. You may need to press another button to allow it to reset if the filter is not automatically reset after replacement. Inside the filter housing, there is a clear rectangular button near the far end. Push it a few times and it should be reset!

Then read on! My item, which I had for 8 months, just broke apart for no reason, so there is a lot of water flowing. Only when the third filter change occurs will this occur.
Immediately after purchase, this product began leaking in 6 different spots. I have streams of water streaming from the bottom of the unit, from the handle, from the other side of the base, and even from the pur filter itself when I am using regular water. In addition, there are no warranties left on this item so I am stuck with a leaking Pur Faucet Mount after 2 months. I am not happy with the product!.
It appears that the item that is made by this Chinese company has wonderful reviews. In the past, I have ordered many plastic molds, and they are not cheap, but it seems as though the manufacturers did not realize the pressures that built up in the housing over time. It has been my practice for the last 10 years to replace them every 3 to 6 months for all of the creations of this company. I really blew it since I could have easily purchased the top of the line reverse osmosis system My water is heavy in iron and stops all filters after 30 days, so I have really nasty water. It is by no means the last one. Next time I will keep my eyes open and get Using the rupture spray will be less wasteful if you put your pants around the sink Insufficient time has passed for me to fix them in marine grade epoxy, but it did work for a couple of Although it is effective on boats underwater, it is not very effective on a plastic tube the size of this. This was an absolute failing, as the tube holding the cap deformed as well as blew off due to the enormous heat. I'm not sure what to say about this, but if they, or someone else, fabricated this from stainless steel I'd pay $100 for it as it really works, just not as a poorly designed plastic piece of crap. There is no way any plastic would be able to function for a long time. The plastic industry learned this the hard way back in the late 80s or early 90s when schedule 40 pipe was used for the cold water line The design of this device is poor, so it deserves the Darwin award. There's no way they could design this product to succeed. If they were 12 or 13 bucks when Amazon prime offered them, I could get it, but they are now back at 25 bucks, making it foolish to buy. A pantry full of these units leaks like a colander that is just my opinion but it is the opinion of someone with a cupboard full of them The only thing I can say is that after tonight, when I couldn't even drink one 4 ounce glass of supposed filtered water, IT IS A DAMN ZERO. It's nothing more than greed from the company they have had bad reviews for years and I got my revenge The bottom line is what's most important. The garbage needs to be removed and they have had plenty of time to correct the situation, but failed to do so. My confirmation is the fact that they don't care about the consumer at all, but just want to sell a poor filter, nothing more, zero zero zero time for a new classification Jeff Oh and I use Chrome and Fire TV so lets see if we can figure.
The housing had to be returned to PIA because it was defective. Before it started to leak, it lasted only a few months. Even when the water diverter switch was in the "off" position, a steady stream of water (including very hot water) flowed through the filter. Pur filters last the shortest time for me of any I have ever used. Despite this being a known defect in this particular model, I was required to return it to them at my expense in order to receive a new one. It used to be that Pur was good at replacing filter housings because it knew the real money was in the filters and isn't They now demand that customers send back the defective/broken ones at their expense. Evidently this is costing them an arm and a leg in hazmat disposal fees while not significantly reducing replacement orders. Surely it must have cost a fortune for some consultant to come up with the brilliant Helen of Troy Do you want to see fewer returns and replacements? Bring them to the next level! Filters are the place to put your money! Take a leaf out of Gillette's book and "give away" the handles!.
I've been using Pur filter systems for at least 15 years, but have only had a single I contacted Pur at the time and they provided me with a replacement without my having to return my original. In September of last year, I purchased a new unit because my previous unit had mold growing on the part that dispensed tap water (it was terrible!). I replaced the filter after two months and the light was still stuck on yellow. When I called Pur, they told me to tap the tiny box inside the unit six times. Resetting the light is as simple as that. I had to replace the filter of my light last week after it got stuck again. It took me every day to tap on the box in order to bring the light on. When I called Pur today, they initially told me to soak the new filter before inserting it (really, why would that do any good? ). When I tapped the rep, I was told I needed to tap 7 times, not 6 (really??)? It worked for 6 previously). My second attempt was made after two more tries by him There was no change, of course. When I asked what would happen next after 30 seconds of silence, she replied, "the next step is. . . " It would be my responsibility to send back the unit at my expense. His RMA would be created for me. minute, there is something I need to tell you The postage for returning a defective product should be paid by me. I don't believe that's right. I was instructed to fax the receipt to him so that he would email a prepaid shipping label to me. I realized then that I would have to drink tap water for two weeks while I waited for a Since my current unit is a backup, I decided to buy a new unit and keep my old one as a spare unit in case the new one failed. The customer service provided by Pur could be improved, at the very.
