Spend the extra $10 and buy the Pur or Culligan brand. I bought the 3 pack but only 2 of the cartridges worked the status light remained red until the third cartridge was installed. Having just started, two weeks in and I am already on yellow, which will mean changing out the cartridges soon. Usually, pur filter cartridges last you 3 months on old galvanized pipe,* however, these only lasted 2 weeks, and one cartridge was incorrect out of the box. Spend your money wisely. Choose from spending $30 on 3 cartridges for 3 months and $30 on name brand cartridges a few weeks later, or spend $20 on these and $30 on name brand cartridges.

It was easy to install, the price was reasonable, and shipping was prompt. Despite tasting good right away, it is not quite what you would call the official PUR brand. It works as a pressure washer when you turn it on, but it is a little different from the official brand. Two weeks after using it, the green light was yellow and the taste was becoming bitter. I wanted to love it, but next time I will opt for the name brand.
