In fact, those filters annoy me quite a bit. My last replacement was less than a month ago, so I have to order another. It would seem that I had to buy at least 6 filters in the last 8 months, which is not what I expected. We tried Brita and Pur faucet filters, but neither improved the quality of the water we are using. After that, we decided to check out Culligan's faucet filter. Although the unit is made of plastic, and it isn't the best quality (we have to replace it annually), the filters it uses improve the water so much that it isn't cloudy anymore.
