Since I have purchased the Culligan FM-50 for over a year, I am thrilled with it I've been using the subscribe and save plan of Amazon for several years to take advantage of the 15RA Level 3 Faucet Filter. The past customs and transportation of these filters has always been handled in a separate shipping container, and it always arrived in perfect condition. In my latest shipment, however, I received the filter with two other heavy items in the same box. Due to the weight of those two other items, the water filter sustained severe damage. It even got to the point where THREE separate water filters arrived! Seeing the way these filters are manufactured and operated allowed us to get a much better understanding of them. Amazon gets the filters to me in good condition when they manage to deliver them to me unharmed. A little bit of an OK performance, nothing spectacular. In addition, they used to be great, but lately, their quality control seems to be deteriorating. My filters sometimes fall apart before I have the chance to use them to their fullest potential. Water from some filters appears to flow around the filter instead of being forced through it, so I wondered if the water was circling around rather than being forced through Also, there was a recent case where the flow rate was so slow that it looked like the filter was clogged from the start. That's not the case, I know why! I can fully understand why the flow rate was so high through the filters that arrived in three pieces when looking at the items that arrived in three pieces. Essentially, the filter is made up of a carbon block coupled with the top and bottom of an enclosed plastic housing. There is in fact a point where the water goes OVER the filter if either of these joints fails! As such, if you find that your filter's flow rate seems faster than normal, you may wish to investigate in more detail. The attached photos can be seen here.

Purchased the same house five years ago and still live there. There hasn't been a change in The fact that I will have to pay for filters every two weeks simply doesn't make sense to me Since it would take four filters to last the original timeframe of two months, 1 filter would now cost 4 times as much as if it would last for the original time span of two months. If I were an isolated case, I would not be annoyed. However, as noted in many, many recent reviews by loyal customers the new filters do not work, do not fit or last as long as older models, so the change overall has me looking for a new company Please let me know if you have any.

Our Culligan system has been in use for a couple of years and we have generally been satisfied with how it operates and with the quality of water it provides. I recently purchased two replacement filters (in original packaging, Culligan filters, not knockoffs) and everything started to change In the offing). There have been some reviews in which people have expressed their dissatisfaction that the water came from the filter much faster than normal and the taste and smell of the water were similar to what comes straight from the tap. I used the exact same second filter as the first (i. e. It was a defect. In one case, the initial flushing process resulted in perhaps a minute or two of dirty water after which a clear stream appeared, but the previous filters that we bought took a few seconds before The water as it turned out was either completely bypassing the filter or there was no filter in the first place. Culligan must be aware of these problems since many have complained, but no response has yet been received from them acknowledging the problem. It turned out that I had to throw away the Culligan filter in order to replace it with a PUR horizontal model. So far, the PUR horizontal model has worked perfectly. I think Culligan is going to lose a lot of customers, if they don't get their quality control under control Now that I'm done with them, I can move on.

My purchase history of these products is extensive and I was a huge fan for years. The fact that they aren't properly formed makes me wonder if an outside contractor was hired to do the work for Culligan. One of the filters was defective, as there was a gap between the widest part of the filter and the assembly on the faucet, which caused water to leak out. The old assembly fit nicely back in, so I thought maybe it was my assembly, so I put in the new one again. My frustration led to contacting Amazon. They sent me another one and asked me to send the faulty one back. As with the original, the replacement had exactly the same issues. After contacting Amazon once more to ask if it was just my bad luck, they said that they had received multiple complaints about My decision was to go with the Brita version that is comparable. They have a faucet adapter design I don't like nearly as much as Culligan's. However, they filter the water without leaks, so at least that's a plus.

The filter does not work. I am not experiencing a similar restriction in my water flow to when I bought the whole device. When it is shipped, the glue that holds it gets weakened in the warehouse of AmaZon and it comes loose when it is The water thus passes around the filter material instead of through it. I have written two so far. The first one included with the device lasted just A new post has been posted for May 2019. My first order of these filters was 4 months ago, and I have used them for about 5 months now. The one that came with the faucet is included as well! An average of 1 per month, then! Generally, some of them last a lot longer than most, anywhere from 2 to 5 years I have 3 weeks until my last one, which lasted about a month. In the ones that last longer, there is a heavily concentrated flow of water at the start. The reason it seems like it is not filtering is because I perceive it does not slow down like the others. From 1 to 4 stars because travelling home with 3 gallons of water from the grocery is much more convenient than bringing 3 gallons of water home There are still some things that annoy me, however, such as the fact that you have to run water through the filter for about 5 minutes at the start (how many gallons is that wasting?). I feel very soapy and oily on my hands , since the water is very soapy. Then it will clear up in a few minutes! Obviously I don't know what that is, but it says in the box that it needs to run for at least 10 minutes before it can be used! In terms of overall quality, it wasn't bad! It ended up that I had to get a metal faucet adaptor since the plastic one in the box kept falling out. A SIZE MAP IS ATTACHED TO EACH PHOTO.
