Questions & Answers
Having used this thermometer for over a year now, I can highly recommend it. It works well except for this one, which claims that the reading will only take 6 seconds. After stabilizing for more than 10 seconds, the temperature reading becomes more accurate. Two seconds is not enough time for an accurate reading, according to anyone who says so. Ideally, I would go for one that promises a two-second read time. I dislike leaving the oven open for long periods of time.
The vent allows air to dry the sheath, so you can't open it unless you'd like to.
There is a thermocouple in the first inch of the temperature probe, which is made of aluminum. Thus, it is a good conductor of heat or cold. It seems that for an accurate measurement, you would have to insert the first 1/4 to 1/2 inch. As the probe is not in contact with the object, it can take about 10 to 15 seconds to reach the temperature you want to measure and the rest of the probe will not be accurate since it is not in contact with it. The problem is that the temperature differential may not be considerable.
The version I have is probably the most recent, since I just got it a few months ago. There is no backlit display, so unless you use it with the lights off, it should not be an issue. As of today, I'm able to read mine just fine. I like it a lot.

This is a very accurate, well made product, and the features of auto off and max hold really come in handy! Although a thin tip of the probe makes the device more responsive, beware of thermometers that have an ultra-thin probe since they are more prone to failure as the entire probe is so thin. Despite its slim design, this thermometer has a sturdy probe. The calibration was accurate to within 0. 0 when tested in boiling water and with water and crushed ice in a mixture. It is a great achievement to get a degree with just 1 credit. Temperature readings go from 0 to 100 in seconds and the display is large enough and dark enough that it can be read easily. In addition to protecting the probe from dust and dirt, the cup extends the length of the thermometer when snapped directly onto the top of the thermometer. Note however that it is a tight fit, so you will have to tug it out It is really nice to have a max hold temp feature when using the extension, since it allows you to remove the probe from the item being measured and bring it up to eye level to read without losing I don't drop the entire thermometer into food or pick up the device with food or grease all over my hands, so cleaning is a breeze - since I do not drop the thermometer into food I am measuring. After rinsing the probe, you can simply wipe it off or use a soapy sponge to wipe it off. Having it be waterproof is a great feature for when water splashes on the actual device or if you really need to wipe it down with a wet sponge, but I just don't understand the need to throw it into the dishwasher to clean
To sum it up, I have so far been very pleased with it's performance, it is easy to operate, easy to clean and accurate, so I am very happy with it.
Get this thermometer if you want a good one. A restaurant supply house employee told me it is their most popular thermometer when I brought it up to the counter the last time I bought one. In addition to being fast, accurate, and waterproof, it is easy to use! I was told that you can just throw this in the dishwasher when you're done with it. The original thermometer I purchased from a restaurant supply store was broken due to an accident. In the meantime, I accidentally broke the metal probe closing a drawer one day after forgetting to put the blue hard case on it. When I was shopping for a new thermometer on Amazon, I ended up ordering one from a different brand that has more ratings and reviews. A magnet is attached to it and it sticks to the fridge, and the probe can be folded. One of the biggest disappointments about it is that it cannot be used in the rain! The total opposite of what I expected. An extra bit of money invested in a waterproof thermometer will pay off in the end. can dry it off in the sink with the rest of the dishes and utensils, so you don't have to worry about dropping it in a pot of water.
The first letter. Even though I knew it was cold this time of year, I still went in! There is no way to keep it open in these areas except by the movement of water. Many people have complained about a slow response, but I was amazed at how quickly the sensor responded In under 3 seconds, a stable reading can be obtained. It takes a while for the atom to settle in air, about 20 seconds. Due to the lesser thermal coupling of air compared to water, I would guess this is the case.
The temperature of ice water is 32 degrees. This product is waterproof and accurate. Boiling water has a temperature of 212 degrees, while ice water has a temperature of 32 degrees. After using it, I cover the whole thermometer in dish soap and wash it in hot water to ensure that no moisture penetrates the inside. I will admit, it is not the fastest thermometer around, but it works fine. It's more important to me to achieve high accuracy and consistent performance rather than being faster by only a few seconds or having an inaccurate device. The Lavatools is faster by a few seconds but is less A noteworthy feature is that the device appears to have a calibration feature as well as a self-calibration cycle that occurs automatically under certain circumstances. The package includes a spare battery as well.
Not as fast as I hoped, but still adequate. The closest it can get is about six seconds, but from there it can still vary a whole degree. I love this thing, which is why I am posting it! A latch allows the cover to latch on tight as a handle extension, and it has proven to be water-resistant so far! By making such a small hole, I do not have to propel my food around the grill while trying to get it to penetrate. I trust it most of all! Because I just didn't trust the thermometer, I had to get rid of my old cheap thermometer. A thorough evaluation). For the price you pay, it has a lot of features, is easy to clean, and a reasonable speed. The shopping experience was very meticulous, I was very picky, and the shopping was enjoyable.
My 3 year-old trusted one was destroyed in an accident, and I bought a replacement. I have an old Comark pdt300 that I like very much, so I was hoping that this would be a little faster, seeing as it has a lightning bolt on it. It's no coincidence that lightning bolts are fast, is it? This is incorrect. There is actually a slight performance difference between the PDT300 and this one. They are both somewhere around 5-6 in height It takes six seconds for a system to be With a pdq400, it's pretty easy to guess where the bullets will land after 3 seconds. This bullet is also much thicker than a Therefore, more expensive, thicker, and just a little bit In that case, I will return the book.
