Selected User Reviews For Mixoo Salt and Pepper Grinder - 2 in 1 Manual Stainless Steel Salt Pepper Mill Herb Spice Grinder Shakers Refillable with Adjustable Coarseness Ceramic Rotor and Dual Clear Acrylic Chamber
This item was great, but after two months, one side of the grinder stopped working. It's appealing as well as practical. However, it was only for a brief period of time. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I received an email from the company a few weeks after I wrote this. I hadn't contacted them before because I assumed there was no replacement warranty due to the passage of time, but they were aware of my review and responded. They looked into the problem I was having with one of the damaged sides and determined it was a factory defect, so they sent me a replacement. There were no fees or hassles; all we wanted to do was "make things right. " The prompt customer service has me blown away!!.
I'll admit that I was hesitant to purchase this at first because the style didn't appeal to me. But, seriously, it appears to be incredible! Very sleek and modern. It's a fun little conversation starter that all of our friends want to know about! To add more contrast, we filled it with pink Himalayan salt, which really pops! It's also very simple to refill and use. I strongly suggest it.
It performs admirably, has a pleasing appearance, is reasonably priced, and is simple to operate. You choose the grinds to achieve infinite gradations from fine to coarse. It's the perfect size for holding a large amount of rock salt or pepper in your hand. Only good things come to mind for me.
This 2- It's fantastic to have only one grinder. I like it a lot; I've only had it for a short time, but I've enjoyed grinding my salt and pepper with it. br>The only drawback I can think of is that for the price, I'd expect a glass container rather than a plastic one, but I didn't get one; t have anything negative to say about it because it looks fantastic and functions flawlessly so far.
This salt/pepper grinder has been in my possession for over a month. It's truly amazing. It perfectly grinds the salt or pepper to the size you want. End caps have been reported to fall off in some reviews. That has never been an issue for me. They stay in place until I take them off. If you want a grinder that works well while also being stylish, I highly recommend this one.
UPDATE. The company sent me a replacement, and so far everything appears to be working properly. There is a significant difference in the grinding between the one that broke and the new one. So far, we are impressed and delighted with the grinder, which is simple to use and fill, and we no longer lose the salt or pepper shakers! br>br>After using this for about five months now, we've had some issues with it. We haven't had any issues with the pepper side, but we've had issues with the salt side from day one. It decided to work for a while and then went back to working when it wants to. The silver part on the salt side comes completely off when it wants to, so I've noticed that the salt gets stuck between the silver metal piece and the black plastic underneath.
EDIT: After 5 months of daily use, the caps are no longer attached to the ends. I'll be on the lookout for a suitable replacement. As a result, I've reduced my rating to three stars. br>br>Looks nice and is of good quality. However, even if you fill it to the brim, when you turn it over, a portion of the container will be empty. In this way, the display photos are a little deceiving. Other than that, it's a good product.
This was purchased to replace a 2-year-old model. This Mixoo grinder is much easier to turn than the OXO grinder, which had trouble grinding larger salt crystals like Himalayan salt, and does a good job of grinding salt and pepper to whatever degree of fineness you want. The black "propeller" on each end of the grinder can be adjusted to fit your needs. br>br>For filling and grinding, the two compartments are easily distinguishable. The grinder came with two silver caps for each end, I assume to keep the small grains that always fall out in place and to make it look more slick. We threw them out because there's no way I'm going to remove and replace them every time I use the grinder. But that is just my opinion. )br>br>Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. )br>br> The grinder is attractive enough to be displayed on the dining room table. It has a contemporary look that goes well with our kitchen appliances, and having fresh ground salt and pepper on hand adds to the flavor of my food. My pet peeve with it is that the salt comes out one end and the pepper the other, requiring some concentration to figure out which is which. My other grinder selected pepper or salt by twisting the lid in the opposite direction, which seemed much more obvious. But I'm confident that I'm smarter than my grinder, and I'll get used to this one in no time.
