My knowledge of this is limited. On my meat grinder, I use it

Certainly, there were less expensive kits, but those sets are more likely to fall apart than the more expensive sets, or to cause you other problems as a consequence of the structure and construction. It is designed so that the tubes in these hips can't "blow-out" and so there won't be any leakage where the hips meet the filler(under the screw on cap) where they are attached. bowed ones have a rounded edge Unlike our knees, our hips have a tendency to become infected due to structural problems that allow the meat to build up. With these hips, the meat is redistributed evenly so that there is no build-up of pressure and the product performs as it should. *Since these are thicker than I expected, I am pleased that I will be able to use them for years to come without having to replace them with new ones. ** * * I think that they are quite nice for the price. These appear to be two pieces, but they're actually molded as a single piece. Following the manufacturing of the tubes, and hips, the joints are welded together. Both the largest and the smallest were welded together (a line is evident around each location where they were joined-- It's evident in the main photo for this product on the huge tube shown), but you couldn't tell the medium sized tube was welded from look at the photograph, as there was nothing to indicate that. By using this construction, a strengthened tube is created which has been subjected to less stress during production. They were clean and the edges were not sharp enough to cut the hands they were used to, or those who were You still need to be careful when using and cleaning them, since they have metal edges. It is made of plastic. There's no doubt that metal would look better on that. The ring's purpose is to redistribute the meat, so that it flows evenly through the machine without damaging both the machine and the casing. Overall, I would recommend this product. The plastic works fine, I just wish it were made out of metal, so it could last for a longer period of time.
Even though these tubes do convert the grinder attachment into a stuffer, it's not the best way to stuff sausage casings as the grinder doesn't generate the proper amount of pressure to do the job efficiently. In summary, I won't fault these stainless tubes, but I will say that after you use them a couple of times, you will wish you bought an actual sausage stuffer because that's what you're going to do and these tubes will be left in the drawer for years to come.
Good quality, got yesterday so haven't used yet. It won't be necessary to use the plastic retainer as you will be using the metal retainer that came with your meat grinder attachment to grind or stuff sausages. You will need the black retainer piece if, however, you ONLY WANT TO FILL sausages (your meat is already chopped up into fine pieces for grinding as finely as you wish).
I bought them as a set of attachments to my noodle machine.
The plastic ring tore off of the small tube, so I am unable to use it on the kitchenaid mixer because it is too high off the ground. As a result of grinding the meat, adding seasoning, and running it through the auger a second time without a plate, the meat was too fine for my tastes. We bought a sausage stuffer from Master Feng for $60, it has stainless tubes.
Made my own sausage and would like to share it with you. It was just the tubes I needed. I had all the other stuff. There was not a better bang for the buck, and I had no complaints. I made around 10 pounds of sausage and they performed exactly as advertised for a significantly lower price.
It was a natural step for us to start making our own One set of plastic split when I was using it. These work well (in case the meat is too cold). They were only used once because we decided to purchase a hand crank stuffer instead. This is a much better alternative if you plan to do it on a monthly basis like we do. Due to the longer time it takes with the kitchen aid version. A metal object is a better choice than a plastic one.
There seemed to be a good deal of quality in these tubes. As the casing was slipped on, I was concerned that the edges of the tubes may cut the casing. Due to my lack of preparation, I did not want to make sausage when they arrived so I returned them because they cut the casing and not because I was unhappy.
