Questions & Answers

Do lem products come from the United States?

There is no doubt that they are 100% Chinese. This includes the printing and documentation as well.

Does this product need more than 1 person to operate it?

Without a doubt!

In contrast to the previous model, how does this one differ?

In the newer model, the gear is covered by a cover on the top. This cover is not present on the older model.

The piston for this is made of plastic, right?

This material is similar to the plastic caps that can be found at the bottom of table and chair legs, except it is much thicker. Getting on the slippery side is easy thanks to its strength. The included silicone gasket is inserted into a groove that is about 1/4" diameter around the side of the speaker. There was no meat that bypassed this gasket while it was in

Selected User Reviews For LEM Products 1112 Big Bite 10-Pound Stainless Steel Dual Gear Vertical Sausage Stuffer

I would give this LEM stuffer a few extra stars if I could! In stating my first use for this stand alone sausage stuffer, let me state that this is my first experience with such a tool
5/5

As a kid, I used a "Kitchen Aid" with a sausage grinder and stuffer attachment to grind and stuff sausages. I realized it was a lot of work, but it did Then I got smart and bought a heavy duty grinder that I could use to grind the meat, then run it through a second time to stuff the sausages. I was able to use it. After losing my stuffing partner (wife) a few years ago, I started making sausage patties in place of sausage In the end, I wised up and looked at the reviews on Amazon concerning stuffers in the price range I could afford. From the reviews I read on this stuffer it was apparent the only downfall was the amount of effort required to remove the plunger assembly to refill the hopper. In the end, I took the plunge and purchased one because it appeared people enjoyed this stuffer. It's the first time I've ever been HAPPY stuffing sausage! Stuffing sausage with this stuffer was so much easier, and I can now operate it on my own. Hip, hip, There is no need to repeat the raves the other reviewers have written because they do a great job at explaining how this stuffer performs. I just want to add a couple of A few things need to be said about this device First, it's easy to clean. Remember to take the o-rings off when you are taking it apart to clean it To prevent meat fragments from getting under the ring, the plunger is fitted with an o-ring This ring rings. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to do it. By carefully sliding a butter knife under and lifting the tube, I was able to easily remove it Getting out of the groove on the ring. You just have to be careful not to damage the ring on your toe. This idea will probably be frowned on by the LEM folks, but the second one I have works wonderfully. My electric drill motor consists of a cordless, variable speed DeWalt drill motor coupled with a 6 point 3/8 drive 9/16" socket instead of a crank handle. By setting the drill motor to slip (screwdriver setting), I can avoid pushing or spinning too hard, which would otherwise damage anything I'm working on. Thanks to this set up, it's very easy to change the speed of stuffing, and I can easily refill the hopper by cranking the plunger back out after a few seconds. As a final step, I removed the gear cover and packed an adequate amount of food grade synthetic grease into the gear housing before I ever started using that stuffer. Even after I've passed on, those metal gears will still be around! In that case, I would be OK with the LEM folks voiding my warranty. With how well built it is and the quality of the materials used to build it, I don't see much chance of it falling apart.
Sorry for such an extensive Although I rarely write reviews of the products I purchase, I thought it might be helpful for those interested in learning more about these products. I hope your day is going well!.

I guess you can't ask for more for this price
4/5

In my opinion, this is one of the best stuffers at this price point. It is easy to clean and easy to take apart. Heavily built and seems to last a very long time. In my opinion, encasing the gears is a big plus like to make sausage, but it's kind of messy. I use the two clamps on my counter top to attach it to the bottom of the unit. Ideally, it would be mounted with bolts, but I just use the four holes in the bottom. Despite its small size, it remains firmly in place. In the hopper, you can put up to 5 lbs of sausage, so if you want most recipes finished in one load, you can. In my case, there is about 3 ounces of sausage left inside the tube (medium size) when the pusher hits the bottom, but if you are making very small batches, that can amount to a significant percentage of the recipe (this occurs with all There are two complaints that keep me from giving it five stars A small allen screw holds the handle in place (wrench included), but it comes out with use, and I have seen the handle fall off mid-use Once or twice, crank the wheel. There is no way on earth to keep it tight enough for a whole 5 pounds of sausages to be made. The manufacturer has also been asked to smooth the end of the tubes before shipping to prevent the plastic from getting stuck When you load your casings, you will tear them if you don't do it.

The perfect solution
4/5

This product is almost perfect. I agree with everyone else that it is There are a few disadvantages to this stuffer. First, if you don't have one, you are doing yourself a disservice. I used an auger stuffer previously, and the sausage would emulsify fat and was more of a hassle generally. Placing the meat in this stuffer, putting on the cover, and stuffing your casings all happens very quickly. You're at least 5X faster with this attachment than using a grinder's stuffer attachment, and the results are noticeably better. How do you solve this Bases are what make a boat. In spite of the fact that they include a couple of clamps, you will struggle to keep your stuffer steady without a counter that works with them. It will work its way loose at least once while you are stuffing it even with a clamp, as you can only clamp the back edge. Even though it's not a deal breaker, I find it extremely frustrating when it occurs. It would be easy to attach a suction base similar to the one found on drum mandoline slicers because the base is hollow. With a little R&D and space on the top or side of the radio, there is plenty of room for a lever to be added With D, they could get a perfect product without even doing much at all. Since I have designed a number of products, I can speak to this topic with authority.

The stuffer works great, and it's easy to use! I think it turned out pretty well
5/5

Previously I had just been using the stuffer attachment on my Kitchen Aid to make sausage, but I now use the sausage stuffer attachment on my Kitchen Aid To make sausage probably twice a year with an attachment for the mixer/grinder. Additionally, this is an expansive piece of equipment because it stands more than a foot high and goes under the counter for a long time. This is a great workaround! If you're used to how much pressure to apply and which stuffer tube to use with which casing (get as big as you can), you can literally crank out sausage after sausage. The sausage we made on the first day weighed over 7 pounds. One criticism I have is that the hopper doesn't hold 5 lbs as well as it should It is safe to say that the safe, usable capacity is about A weight range of 5 to 4 pounds. It's not that big of a deal, you just refill in the middle of a batch.

I believe this to be the one
5/5

My grinder was used to stuff my sausage but it makes the meat blend and become a lump My fat and flour would turn into a paste. I needed a stiffer, and I wanted one I could rely on. The price you pay is the price you get! There are a total of 5 lbs. in this LEM. I found the sausage stuffer to be excellent! The tool is well made, makes no effort, and is built with stainless steel. That's great! There is definitely no home owner stuff on this stuffer, it's definitely for commercial use. All types of sausage are on the menu for me. There are four types of meat in this dish beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. In my efforts to experiment with sausages of every kind, I'm trying them all. This Squirrel must be connected with my missing cat, and my wife's cat is also missing. It'll be a fun Stuffer for you!.
