The products you buy once and keep forever hold great value for me. The model I chose didn't have a digital scale, batteries, or energy sources, so I didn't think about that. Besides the instructions on how to attach the dish, the box came with an indicator dial set to the maximum measurable weight and a single sheet of paper explaining how to attach it. My product comes with no instructions for how to tare it to 0. Neither in the box nor online.
